Love this place. I've only ever needed copies of keys but they're the best. They have a large selection of key sizes and types for anything you might need from simple bike rack locks to home and I'm sure auto. They also work very quickly and are super nice. I've only ever had good experiences here. Skip the big box stores where you know you've waited too long for mediocre service.

I had some special order keys I needed cut for my old Toyota and they cut them for me for free! I also have a very custom key for a Mazda Miata that they were able to take care of as well! I will definitely come back here for any service they provide!

I showed up 30 min before they closed and Chris hooked me up and had me out with time to spare! He made a duplicate for my high security car key. He even helped me program the remote! Lowest prices you'll find anywhere for this service! Highly recommend!

Once was Sampson's Key shop. I needed an extra New Key Fob for a New Chevy Truck. They couldn't help me because apparently the Auto Manufacturers have control of when a locksmith can duplicate keys and fobs.

I took my key to my Kia Soul for a new one to Michael's. He was able to replace it at a really good price, cheaper than the dealership. I was very happy with that price because I was dreading paying the money the dealership with asking for a new FOB. We spoke about other alternatives for a backup key in case I lose this one and he helped me problem solve. Now I feel better about my situation of having keys, all the time, to my car.

I Called a week in advance to schedule a re key on a new home move in. I was told the pricing and confirmed the appointment that the tech would be out between 10-3 pm. Also that I would be contacted 30 mins before arrival. At 2:30 when no one had called I reached out to the company only to be told that they had no scheduled appointment. They only thing that was offered was an appointment a week later, Very unprofessional!! I would not recommend this company.

My Ford Explorer was not recognizing its own key and was disabled in a private parking lot. I had it towed to Michael's Keys and Chris had it fixed in 1 business day for less than the cost of the tow! He knew what my issue was when I called and they were very accommodating. Glad I found these guys. Easy to find, very honest, and well equipped. I know where to go if I have any similar issues. Location is easy to get to right off of 66.

First I want to say I NEVER write these BUT, I was blown away by the quality and service of the Micahels keys in Rowlett!!!! My Story: I went to the Michaels keys in Dallas and immediately when I walked in no one was there to help, when someone finally showed up I told them I needed a key. He told me that it wouldn't be possible. Didn't even let me explain or was trying to be helpful. From the Dallas store I traveled all the way to the Rowlett store because I really needed to get this key made. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Chris. I explained my situation without mentioning what happened in Dallas he immediately began to drive resolve my issue. Was polite and very nice throughout the entire interaction. When I finished paying I explained to him what happen to me in Dallas and CHRIS apologized for the store in Dallas. He didn't have to do that but that shows he values his craft and his business. The Michales Keys in Rowlett will always have my business because they value the customer and that is VERY rare in todays businesses. Thanks again Chris and Micheals Keys in Rowlett -Brian

Let me just say that Chris and his staff are beyond exceptional. My word would be either PHENOMENAL or SUPERB! He got the skim code for my Dodge Ram truck after Rockwall Dodge wouldn't give it to me even though I'm the registered and insured owner of the vehicle. That being said after proper advisement from Chris on product codes I bought 2 remote keys on Amazon for $20 and Chris programmed them for a little over $50. Then a couple of weeks later my hard top tonneau cover lock wouldn't open. Chris and his staff got it open, adjusted it and charged me nothing. Then brought our other vehicle back the same day to have the secondary remote fixed after I had tried putting a new battery in it. Chris fixed it for $5! These guys are trustworthy and honest and helpful and I would make them choice #1 for anything involved with locks or keys.

I have used Samson's now Michael's keys for over 10 years . They are very knowledgeable and reasonable . I have had them be able to make a duplicate key that other locksmiths said couldn't be done . I have also had them rebuild a lock to save me having to spend more money to replace it .
