Late in the afternoon on Friday, July 3rd, my garage door decided to stop working. Only a humming/whirring sound, but no movement when the remote is pressed. The red-chord emergency pull works okay so the door can be opened and closed manually - thank goodness because it's about to be a long holiday weekend. I live in a small town in NW Oregon. There is a small business owner nearby whom I have used previously to service my garage door. I send him an email on Friday but do not hear back from him. It's now Sunday and I still have not heard back from him. I begin to search online for garage door service and repair companies who provide service in my area. I stumble (fortunately!) on Thunder Garage Door & Locksmith Services. I do more deeper research online; Yelp, BBB, Google reviews, etc. and am very pleased with what I find. I quickly send them an email on Sunday afternoon and within less than 5-minutes I get a pleasant response back from Lee. Not only does she wish me a Happy 4th, but she also confirms that I am within their service area and would I like to schedule a service call! On Monday I call Lee and we agree on a day and time to have Lucas come by on a service call. Long story made short: Lucas is awesome!!! Punctual, polite, knowledgeable, and detailed and thorough in explaining that my 20-year old Genie garage door opener has finally died. Lucas takes the time to explain his recommendation to replace the old garage door opener with a new Linear model. The price Lucas quotes is fair as I had already done research online pricing new models. Thunder is also running an online coupon so Lucas is able to knock off $49 from the price originally quoted. Lucas removed the old Genie and installed the new Linear garage door opener in less than one hour and after thoroughly cleaning up his work area he took the time to brief both my wife and I on the operation of the new door opener, the new sensors, the new remotes, the warranty, and even asked if he could re-program the HomeLink remote in our Subaru. Needless to say Lucas was outstanding and could not have done a better job of representing the integrity of this company. I highly recommend Thunder Garage Door - and Lucas - for your garage door service and repair needs!

Lucas, the technician who was sent to do our requested jobs, was very friendly and professional. We had a front door that needed to be rekeyed with a deadbolt that needed to be replaced; a doorknob on the fire door to the garage that would lock; a new spring on our garage door and just a general inspection of the garage motor. Lucas listened to our needs, checked out everything, gave us his recommendations, and then fully explained what each item would cost. Once we all agreed on what was to be done and Lucas was sure we understood the cost(s), he then proceeded to get the items he needed for the job and within a very short time, everything was done, and worked beautifully. He didnt try to sell us things that we didnt need, even down to the keys for the two doors. All the locks were keyed the same so wed need only one key. He told us to go to one of the home improvement stores to have duplicates made because it would be cheaper than what he could make them for. Integrity is important to me, and I believe I was dealing with someone who felt the same. I highly recommend Thunder Garage Door & Locksmith Services and will definitely use them again when the need arises! 12/28/19

Used this service and they were able to get my car open in 10 minutes. The problem? Well, they estimated one price over the phone and when the guy arrived, he quoted me twice the original price that I was told over the phone. Since it only took 10 minutes to do the job, I assume it was probably straightforward. I called and left a message about the issue but didn't get a call back from the business. Will never use this service again!
