I left a voicemail and Ricky returned the call within 5 minutes. I explained the problem I was having with my home door locks and Ricky immediately suggested I could save the price of a service call by removing one of the locks and bringing it into the store for him to work on it which I thought was very nice however I did not want to mess with it so we set up an appointment for him come to my house the next day. Ricky showed up exactly on time with his mobile workshop van. He quickly diagnosed the problem removed the lock and made new master keys right in his van. All the new keys worked perfectly! I also inquired about replacing the old lock on my outer security door as we never had a key for it. Ricky said he could install a new lock and key it to my front door key so I would not need to carry another key. That was great because the lock on the security door was nothing like the lock on my front door. He had the exact new parts I needed right in his van and was able to fit the new lock into my security door even though it was slightly larger than the original cheap lock that was originally on the door. All the work was completed within 45 minutes. Ricky was extremely professional and polite explaining everything, including the costs, as he went along. I bought a blank key fob for my 2004 Honda accord and shopped around for someone to laser cut it for me and I was immediately going to go with a AAA approved locksmith but they wanted $90.00 just to cut the key I had everything else. So I thought that was a little much, and called Carpinteria lock and key and Ricky was the technician, the guy is phenomenal. First let me tell you, he only wanted $40.00 and met me off the freeway on Johnson Dr. And cut my key in less than 5 minutes. Bought the key fob for $10.00 online and put my stuff inside it and $40.00 for Ricky to engrave it. $50.00 for a brand new key, not a $100.00 that it almost cost me, thanks to Carpinteria lock and key I would recommend these guys to anybody A+ in my book. I didnt have to wait long at all and after the guy opened up my car he said that he could make me a copy of my key to keep just incase I locked my only key in my car again I would have a spare to be able to open my door.
