We wasted 30 minutes of 4 staff members time trying to do something that required a professional; Tri-County Locksmith to the rescue. We had a locked inside office door that wouldn't open, with staff on the clock but outside waiting to work. We tried to fix it and spent 30 minutes trying to fix something we knew had no experience with. We called our usual locksmith and the phone rang and rang, finally an answering machine picked up and said that their voice message box was full. I looked up 'locksmiths' on Google and called Tri-County Locksmith. They answered right away and arrived immediately. Fixed our issue and in 2 minutes he was done, but he explained what happened and showed us how to fix it if it happens again. Worth every penny and we will call them if we ever find ourselves needing a professional again.

Over the years, I have used this locksmith to rescue me from key my troubles. Sure, theyre great for key copying and other routine locksmith problems, But it seems to me they shine best with difficult problems. And I always get keys that are precisely cut from them. With other locksmiths, I sometimes get keys that stick a little. But this has never happened with these folks on Thompson Boulevard in Ventura.

I called to ask how much a Volkswagen key would be and I'm not sure who I was speaking to but they were OVER the top rude and I asked if they had any recommendations on someone who does do VW keys and he said nope and hung up. Definitely will never be giving my business to them just for the fact that they were over the top rude over a simple question. I really hate not being able to give my buissness to local shops...

Jeff is a sincere business man. He shows up on time. Gets the job done in 15 minutes no sweat. Cut a new key to the ignition on my 05 Yamaha Fz1000. This is the best locksmith in Ventura for motorcycles.

I just received one of the worst customer service experience in my life. I don't recommend this place to anyone. I called on Saturday because my key got stuck in the lock. I didn't have the right tools to get it out so I called this company since the other ones in town were closed. They guy came out and very easily took the key out. He charged me $195. Which was a rip off. I started using a spare key just in case the original key was the issue but 3 days later the new key also got stuck so I called them and asked if they could come out under a warranty or something to help me, the person on the phone said they didn't have a warranty (even though they charged an arm in a leg ) but they would figure something out. The same guy came out and quickly pull the key out so I asked just to show me what to do in case it happened again while I got a new lock all together and he did. I was like cool thanks. Then he said we are going to give you a $50 discount, so he wanted to charge me another $150 even though he didn't even fix my lock or changed it. I told him they should have told me before he did anything and why was he charging me again if he had just over charged me the first time? He said because it was the weekend and no one else was open. Then He stormed off saying GOOD LUCK! DON'T CALL US NEXT TIME! And some other stuff between his teeth I didn't really understand. I can't believe the lack of customer service.

Tri County Locksmiths in Ventura are fantastic! I cannot thank them and George enough for both their willingness to try and help me out but also getting the job done in cutting the key that I needed. After losing my keys I couldn't find anyone who carried one of the keys I needed. I was able to obtain a blank but even with the blank, every other locksmith in Ventura could have cared less about my business and trying to help out. Not George at Tri County Locksmiths though, he was willing to at least try to help me and was able to easily get the job done and the key works perfectly! Not only were they helpful but fast and friendly too. George even followed up with me a couple days later to make sure the key worked.It is a first for me lose my keys, hopefully it wont happen again but should it, I know the first place I am going is Tri-County Locksmiths. A huge thank you to them and George for all of their help, professionalism and caring about their customers!

Lost my mail box key and a new lock system was needed for the ' cluster mail box' . Post office wanted a a fortune. This place has the same lock system - a lot cheaper. It's the same lock!

After striking out at three other locksmiths in the area, I was ready to give up getting a copy of the special key I had. Then, I noticed Tri-County Locksmiths during a trip to Ventura. I am so glad I gave them a try. George immediately found a possible match, but he wanted to make sure, so he gave the blank key to try and see if it could be inserted all the way into the lock. He didn't charge me anything and told me that if it worked, next time I was in the area he would cut the key for me. The blank worked, so I went back, he cut the key and worked just fine. This is service at it's best!

I love this veteran-owned business in Ventura! When the man in the lock department at Lowes could not help me with my Baldwin deadbolt that was was frozen up, he suggested I go to Tri County Locksmith. I walked in with the pieces of the deadbolt, fully prepared to be sold a new replacement and a service call to install it, etc. Fred took it, did a few things at a work bench, and handed it back to me. It now works perfectly. He refused to charge me anything. I can't believe there are still these kinds of businesses! Thanks Fred and Tri County Locksmiths. You wil get all of my business from today forward! They are a mobile service too of course, so I highly recommend you call them next time you need lock services!

Had the worst experience today the try county lock smith, i needed a ignition switch to be replaced.. i called AAA and they gave me the cost and time the lock smith would show up.. he came within 20 mins very fast.. but the job was very poor and nearly killed my self when i back up and and went down my street... it was very scary my steering wheel was grinding and very hard to steer... i thought it was fixed.... and it hit me... when the lock smith ask for my license and AAA card and he turn to me and ask me ' do you know your driver license '? he was was holding it... so he handed it back to me and i I had to read it to him because he couldn't read it... my God they sent me a blind lock smith... when i talked to the try county locksmith person i told him about my steering wheel and he wanted to resend the same man... i told him he cannot see right and doesn't he have someone else.. he said me...but i can't do it... so i he asked me to give him another chance he's been doing this for 30 yrs... i said can he fix it he said talk to him and i did .. the man did come and he knew what was wrong ... i asked him... which made me angry... well i forgot to mention before he left my house the first time.. he walked out and said , Good luck with that thing... that wasn't right... well he also tried to tell me why it was that way because i pull myself in the truck... well i use too but it never made that steering wheel hard to steer... anyhow i'm lucky to be here still no thanks to try county lock smith... good thing i wasn't on the road coming down from the grade...

The gentleman here, a vet, was very kind and helped me to figure out what was going wrong with getting a copy of my key made. I came here after having an unfortunate experience with Plaza Locksmith where the guy there was obnoxious and rude. I will use Tri-County Locksmith for any future locksmith needs.
