We have some old locks that we called them to have rekeyed and they did an awesome job. We didnt have to change the door locks but only had it rekeyed and now our locks work great with our old keys. The price was very reasonable. Im very grateful for Ventura Locksmith.

Absolute joke. Took a couple aftermarket auto keys to have them cut and programmed. The guy at the counter made a big deal about how these keys work only part of the time and that he recommends buying the keys that they make there. I took my chances and had them try to make them work. They were able to cut them correctly but swore up-and-down that they were the wrong 'frequency' to program the remote. There was something very disingenuous about the salesman and it was clear he was really just trying to push their product on to me. I took the keys home did a 10 minute Google search and found out that I could program these keys at home. Low and behold these keys work perfectly.Any real shop would have known this and I suspected they knew this as well. Do not take anything here.

Excellent work done installing new grade 1 deadbolts and upgraded commercial locks. The Lock technician Jesus has many years of experience and good attention to detail. They also have the MUL-T-LOCK brand deadbolt.

Terrible service and follow up. Very disappointing results with a lock they installed. Has never worked correctly and they refuse to stand behind their work. Lock was initially installed incorrectly by them and now the entire door has to be replaced if I want it to ever function properly. They ruined my door and have the nerve to now tell me they'll sell me a new one.

Set up an appt via Jesus for a car open and new key. Supposed to arrive 10am - noon.No show. I called and I 'was not in the books'.Pretty shabby service. I do not recommend.

Does not honor their product when it breaks or malfunctions terrible Ive gotten three locks from this company Ventura locksmith and all three of broken and they have not honored him or repaired they say theyll charge me for it or send it back to the manufacture Very disappointed

Great customer service. My lock broke. They were able to come out within the hour. I work nights and sleep in the day so I had them come in the after noon. I set an alarm but it didnt wake me up. They blew up my phone with calls and waited 20 mins for me. I had the lock cut in 5 mins. I could be happier with the service they provided and the patience they had with me. These guys are great.

We have used them several times. They were prompt and courteous. We had some locks rekeyed and others listed alike. All their work is very professional. We have also used them to make keys all the time. Yes they are more expensive than making a key at home depot or Lowe's but their duplicated keys always work. I have never had to take one back to be fixed. The reason I started making my duplicates there was that I got tired of having to go back to Home Depot or Lowes to get them fixed(remade). Penny wise and pound foolish. Not any more!

This is the place to go for hard to find keys. I have a lockable mailbox and needed a couple spare keys made up...I tried three other places (Frank's Hardware in Santa Paula, Ace Hardware and Lowe's) and no one could match the key. These guys got it on the first try.Great customer service!

AVOID THIS COMPANY. They are incompetent and unscrupulous. Key broke off in lock of my car. Informed me that my car had no 'Master Key' or key code available for the car. Instructed me that I would have to get the trunk open to remove the locking mechanism. I had to press the broken portion of the key deep into the lock to pop the trunk, when it was easily removable at first, but they told me this was necessary and the lock would be disassembled anyway. Result: Key is now lodged permanently in the lock, and they were unable to remove it. I don't think they even really tried to remove the broken key...they did not even attempt to remove the lock, just tried a 'quick and dirty' method and gave up. I was extremely polite and courteous throughout the interaction but it meant nothing. Turns out, HAD THEY DONE EVEN A LITTLE EXTRA CHECKING, DEALERSHIP DOES HAVE THE KEY. Now I am stuck with an unlockable car, a huge price tag from the dealership to remove the key piece, and a condescending smirk from the owner. I asked for a small discount, they refused. They also refused to honor their offer to provide me with a spare key for the inconvenience. TL;DR: They cost me many hundreds of dollars due to bad information and lack of skill, did not honor their promise, and brushed me off like a bug.

WORST COMPANY-DO NOT USE THEM EVER. 9-20-2016 I was asking detailed questions to Jesus and asked for a manager. When the so called manager Roberto got on the phone I asked for his last name so I knew whom I was speaking with, Roberto wouldn't answer to his last name and hung up. I called back and Jesus then stated we are too busy for you and hung up. Very rude, very unprofessional, very vague on all questions and none of them care. I DONT TRUST THEM as a result of their unprofessionalism just taking calls. They do NOT have records of previous business and NO ONE THERE cares about the customer. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY.
