They showed up pretty quickly but said it cost $90 and then told me they dont have change and I can only pay cash so I had to go to the ATM and had to pay them $100!! Then the next time I got locked out they told me it was $95? Maybe their prices went up but it seemed a little sketchy and inconsistent.

Definitely contact Amazing Lock if you live in Lakeview!!!Jake was SUPER cool and friendly. Everything from the moment the store answered my call to getting my door unlocked went smoothly and pleasantly. The store clerk was professional - confirmed the appropriate fees and the earliest availability. Upon confirmation, double checked that another provider has not been double booked. The locksmith arrived on-time as the store confirmed, he was very cool and easygoing, no attitude.I was so happy with them I asked them to leave their business cards on our building bulletin!

We were locked out of our condo without keys and had to get in to let out our dogs. We called Amazing and they assisted to let us in immediately! Awesome response time. Did I mention it was 3am? Further we then had our locks re-keyed and had a new handle replaced. Identical to our condo association requirements, they found the exact one, they knew right away it was a commercial grade/particular brand. I would recommend this place for anyone. The service was prompt and professional. Knowledge is excellent and they just know what to do. I have used a few other competitors and they were ok, as it is just a lock and key, however now I will use this location for my next issue and tell all my friends they are 'Amazing'!

Nick was very friendly and knew exactly what products to look at when I came in to fix an issue with my broken door knob. Nick explained how to set everything up succinctly for once I got home, and my new door knob looks great.I returned because the 2nd copy of the knob key didn't work, and Gerald fixed it within 5 minutes. Everyone was very friendly and I will only come here for my locksmith needs.

I have used this Locksmith for over a decade, both personally and as the Board President of a 30 unit vintage condo building. They have repaired, placed and / or keyed the locks on 2 different units I own. They have also re-keyed our entire building (something like 100 separate locks) on three occasions - on less than one day of notices. That included creating 45+ sets of new keys for our owners each time. The costs of each of those services was exactly what we were quoted. I won't say they are cheap - but they are professional, speedy and very trustworthy ... which is what I look for in a locksmith.

We needed an emergency lock change on a Sunday. Jake was there less than three hours after I called, charged a reasonable price and even told me that a lock that I thought was junk and should be replaced, was actually not bad at all. Definitely my go-to locksmiths from now on!

This guy made our whole day. My car key snapped clean in half in the midst of moving between apartments. I was quoted over $180 by other businesses, who claimed they HAD to come to me (and charge me for the labor, rather than having me come to them). Gerald seemed upbeat on the phone when I explained the situation; he wasn't %100 sure he could fix it without the car, but he was willing to give it a try. His positive personality is what prompted us to visit Amazing Lock Service in the first place, but then when he told us it was only $4.50 to fix my key (remember, I was quoted $180), I could have hugged him. This guy is the best, knows his stuff, and will help you avert a crisis.

I contacted 'Amazing Lock Services, Inc' a little over a week ago (first time was the night of 8/14/2012) by both e-mail and later by phone. They have yet to respond either to the e-mail or phone call.I described the issue (opening a 20-25 year old safe, which has some water damage) in the e-mail and in the phone call I mentioned the e-mail. Even if they're not able to work on an old safe (though the website seems to say they can and do work on safes) they could (at least) reply to one of the e-mail or return my phone call.At this point, I'm going to look for another locksmith because they don't seem to be on the ball. I wish I had had an experience with the actual people.
