Terrible quality products and poor warranties that they do not stand behind.. Do NOT get your call box from them. The screens go out year after year which costs $1200 to replace yet a new one costs $1400. Buyer beware...Go elsewhere with better customer service and products.

My company has hired Mega Locks on a number of occasions and they are one of the best locksmith and security companies in the Chicago area. And if they make a mistake, they come back and stand behind their workmanship and correct whatever needs fixing. I highly recommend this company.

I got locked out of my house and I called these guys because my mail box has thier information. They came and got me inside but took advantage of my situation and charged me 250. Definitely will never call them again. Have tried other lock Smith's and they only charge 75 bucks for my situation. Stay away.

I called this locksmith to get a time and quote estimate. I was told the technician would be there in 20 minutes and that it would be $55 for the appointment and $35 - $65 for the entry, based on the complexity. The person was only available 45 minutes from my initial call and tried to start charging me random amounts even before he started doing the work. I called the company back, and he said he would charge me a flat rate of $120, regardless of the complexity of the job, which is higher than what he initially told me. The lock opened in about 2 seconds. To be honest, Ive never met a locksmith whos honest about the price upfront. This one is no different.

I would give them ZERO stars if possible. They are shady when they give you an estimate (which takes months) and then they try to charge you more than the estimate price they give you. They are UNRELIABLE- they cancelled two appointments with NO notice because their tech called in sick two weeks in a row apparently. They are awful and I wouldnt recommend using them.

The company came out to service out door and buzzer speaker. Doing so, they messed up the wiring so the buzzer does not work when calling our apt. Originally, they cancelled the appointment to fix because too busy. Finally, after coming out, the company advised they would be sending an estimate $ to have fixed. The owner was extremely rude, not caring his company made the mistake. I will update with outcome but as of today, I definitely recommend doing business elsewhere.

Mega Locksmith helped me turn a very stressful lockout situation into a really success day. I cant recommend them highly enough for their prompt, courteous, professional service on the fly. They dispatch Richard, who was a total rockstar, who arrived in less than 30 minutes and really went the extra mile for me. He even diagnosed a lock problem that I didnt know about, so I can avoid future issues. I will absolutely call Mega for any locksmith needs I may run into in the future.

Richard was super helpful and quickly cut keys for my gate and garage door. It's great to have a local locksmith who can not only help with lockouts, installing access systems, and security fences but also cut keys! No need to go to a big box store to get a key cut when you can just pop around the corner to a professional locksmith!

I was quoted a 55 dollar service call fee and 45-90 dollar opening fee- DEPENDING ON THE COMPLEXITY OF THE LOCKED DOOR. I thought, 100 dollars no problem. The locksmith showed up and I walked him in, up, and around to the door. He immediately charged me 90 dollars to open the door, before beginning work. He commented, 45 dollar unlock fees are usually for screen doors. I had just gotten home from a long trip and wanted to get in- whatever the cost. I agreed, he opened the door in about two minutes- three minutes tops. Will not be using these guys again. Do not recommend either.

He performed a complex lock repair on an aluminum frame prong lock door and went beyond repairing the lock to address and resolve the cause of the lock issue. Very grateful to Richard!! I had a double whammy, on the phone moving to fast and locked myself out of the house before work then end up panicking and somehow locked ma car keys in the car . They are obviously young and trying to to get their name out there but as I was waiting for my keys I stumbled upon so many interesting devices that I will definitely be back! I reccemd 11/10! If you need your lock fixed/opened quickly and affordably, these are the guys to call! Rich was great to work with. He was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and got our door opened in under a minute! Our key was jammed in the lock and we struggled with it for days! After he helped open the door, he explained in detail how the lock worked internally and why I had issues with it in the first place. He took it apart, re-keyed it, and put it back together in a few minutes. I'm so glad we called this place (Mega Locksmith). I'd highly recommend working with them, and with Rich who did an awesome job! Simple, friendly, affordable, quick. I hope I never have issues with my locks, but will definitely call these guys if I do.

Late one evening after a night out on the town I realized that I had locked my keys in my car what a disaster it was late and I was freezing. I quickly googled a 24 hour locksmith and mega locksmith was the first company I called. 10 minutes later Richard arrived to unlock my car and within minutes I was in my car on my way home. I needed all the locks changed on my house after my husband abruptly left me and filed for divorce. I called Mega and they sent out a locksmith named Richard C. He was fast, courteous and knowledgeable. He taught me why some of my locks had been sticking and others had not. He educated me on the importance of keeping my locks maintained and in good working order. I had never known that locks need maintenance, and he explained why they do and what happens if they aren't checked periodically. He rekeyed my entire home (without any mess - important as I was in the process of selling my house when he came!), garage, and did it quite quickly. My locks are all smooth and I can rest assured they won't stick or break keys in them again! I will definitely be calling Mega again for my next home or apartment, and I will cross my fingers and hope that they send out the same locksmith. Either way, they were quicker, more professional and much friendlier than other home maintenance services - such as roofers, HVAC people, and even other locksmiths. I completely trust them, and I can't even say that about my dry cleaning service! Thumb's up!

Mega Locksmith was very responsive (less than 20 minutes). I called because my front door handle came off. Richard (a locksmith) was impressive. I replaced the mortise last fall but kept the trim. When it was reinstalled (not by Mega Locksmith) a few pieces were apparently excluded. He had all the tools (sawed off something too long) and fortunately he had some parts in his truck that made the trim and mortise work together again. He fixed it in no time - very professional, friendly, helpful and communicative (while he squeezed me in between two other appointments). THANK YOU!

I was unable to lock the revolving doors at my job once I was getting ready to close up. I was very upset because I was the only one there and I couldn't just leave with the doors unlocked. I thought I was going to be stuck there forever while I waited for someone to fix the doors. However, Rich quickly came to the rescue and was able to work some magic!
