I have never used this system. I was pretty easy. Nothing beats talking to a person when you need something. The machine did not polish the keys I purchased and I noticed the edges felt sharp when you handle them. It is not a big issue but that is something the local hardware store takes care of when you get keys done.

I had the same set of keys made twice at Ace Hardware and Home Depot because they wouldn't work in the lock. The keys I had made at KeyMe worked!

I don't know how the machine stocks all the possible key types necessary; but it had the several dies I needed, and the keys that were cut all worked in the locks for which they were made once I got them home. The price was much less than I would have paid, had I taken them to a local locksmith. I also appreciated the option of having different colors/designs, since it kept me from having to get one of those plastic rings I had on one key to show me quickly which one opened the outside doors on my house. Now, I just reach for the green key without worrying about the plastic thing coming off. One thing I'm not sure of: the hole into which I inserted the finished key may have removed any crumbs of metal from the keys; but it didn't eliminate all the sharp edges, which could cut into the fabric of the pocket in which I keep the keys. It's a minor issue; but it would be nice to have a little more refinement in that area.

The machine was pretty easy to work with but I wish the key came out with a smoother finish. It was very rough not only on the teeth side but on both of the flat sides.

cheaper than the dealer but still pricey for a generic key blank. could have at least had a ford emblem.

Bought 3 keys from the kiosk in Menards. All three keys work perfect, however the amount of time to complete the transaction couldve been swifter. Took over 15 minutes to receive all three keys. Doesnt sound like a long time, but when you are waiting in a busy Menards in the middle of a Saturday, people tend to get irritated with the person in the current transaction.
