Bought a zero gravity chair that broke first time using it. I called the next day to complain and the lady there said she wanted to replace my broken chair that was sold at a discount to me for the newest style out right and not even needing to see the chair.or recipet because she also remembered me. It was amazing service and her way of handling the situation was by far the best I ever dealt with.

Love the people, i have been going their, for as long as i can remember going with my dad. I know it family owned and they are very helpful and knowledgeable about what you need... Unlike the big Box stores.... I have a 1920 house and i can always come out with the exact item what I need and don't have to go back three or four times I will continue to always go to that store and I just want to say thank you always for being there!

I love shopping here, the folks are always helpful and nice. I buy a bale of hay each fall for my dogs' house and gardening needs in the spring as well as stuff to rid my sidewalk of snow and ice. I guess you could say they take care of me all year! LOL

LA Hardware provides us with great value, in they are in the neighborhood, and all staff know their merchandise. I have walked in with a single screw and they know the right 'thread' I need. That is where the 'value' comes, no return trips over incorrect item.

Great store, truly helpful and knowledgeable staff. I just ran in to buy a drill and they pointed me to the right one...a corded $30 one that was just good enough for what I needed. They won me over when I saw their hay bales outside in front of the store. Thinking it was just straw, for gardens, I took a deep whiff...and smelled good quality hay, it smelled green and tea-like, sweet and deep. Gotta love a place which has the high-tech things plus the tried and true from long ago. I'm working on restoring a house in downtown KCK, but we live on a farm in Jeff. County Kansas, so I'm going to buy hay from La True now. Hope they have feed.

The LA does not stand for Lower Armourdale. I think it's somebody's name. The sign on the west side of the building is amateurish, but it's a real hardware store, the type of which is disappearing from America's urbanscape. Candice is the most knowledgeable woman in the field you will ever meet. It's a pity, really. If she had gone into nuclear physics, maybe we'd have fusion energy by now. But she devoted her life to helping dumb customers in Armourdale. If you happen to be one of those dumb customers, I recommend the place. She'll help.
