These guys know their stuff. I have done business with them for over twenty years and they are always knowledgeable and friendly. I have used them for home, auto, rv, and business service and they never let me down. Always quality work with a smile and some occasional humor added in. They are great at their jobs and offer mobile service as well. Examples of work i have done are........new door locks at home, new door locks for a business multiple times, new garage door locks, new keys with the chips for vehicles, new key fobs, changing safe combinations, and ton and tons of copies of keys for multiple applications. They are always friendly and helpful and most of all fast at getting the work done. They also sell safes of all types and security systems. Plenty of key rings and specialized keys as well. Basically if you need it locked or unlocked these guys will take care of it for you everytime with no problems and always a smile. There is a reason they have been in business longer than any other locksmith in Lincoln Nebraska.

The store on Normal has most every lock/key related accessory as well as safes in stock, a huge wall of key blanks, and if they don't have what you need, they will order it. I've been to Mattice twice in the last two months. Fortunately or unfortunately, I didn't know they existed until recently. But my experience in such a short time will leave them top of mind and always a first referral. I was looking for a padlock for a custom wooden box. The box was already made so trying to fit a padlock was like rocket science. The dimensions manufactures give are hard to estimate. After buying a couple online hoping for the best, I found Mattice. My husband knew of them. Not only did they find me a padlock and key that worked, they found me a high end looking lock and key that enhanced the look of this custom box. I was hopeless when I walked into the shop. They went above and beyond and helped me efficiently and effectively. (Through email, phone and text!!) Fast forward 6 weeks later. I lost my car keys. Within hours, Mattice had me a new one made. Saved the day again. I would recommend them to anyone! So grateful I know they exist and can help me in a pinch anytime!!

This morning my 8 year old locked my 3 year old in my bedroom. We dont have a skeleton key for that room and I didnt know who to call . Let me tell you. I am not one for reviews but I felt this place was definitely worthy of the few minutes it will take me to type this. So, Saturday I lost my son's door key to his car and he was bound to leave for college Monday. Well newsflash although we had the key for the ignition, what good is the safety of a vehicle if you can't lock the doors. Fast forward, called Mattice Lock and Safe and got the pleasure of speaking to a man by the name of Ben (heaven sent) he could tell my stress level was way up there as he broke down the pricing for me with either them coming out which there was no need to because the car was driveable just not lockable. So he told me about coming in the Monday which I was more than willing to do, my son just would have had to miss class. Now this is the kicker. With all of my stress and worrying about my son getting back to school late or driving a 5 hour drive alone in the dark because I had to work, this blessing from above in the form of man by the name of Ben told me to come meet him on Sunday at 11 because he had additional work he needed to do and he would be there and he would not charge me the extra fee for after hour service which saved me over $100Best customer service hands down and he even fixed my son's trunk key free of charge. I am now a customer for life. You would be crazy to choose any one other than Mattice Lock and Safe
