Fortunately, I called Rahns Best Lock for help and sure enough Darryl came to the rescue. Darryl was so kind, friendly, very professional, and full of information. For him to travel from Lincoln to Crete really shows how much he cares about those that really need him! Rahn's Best Lock answered the phone in the middle of the night when no one else would. Despite a very stubborn lock, I was able to get back into my house quick and without breaking the bank. I ended up having Rahn replace the door lock and deadbolt as well something I had needed to do for a while. I was very pleased with the professionalism and quality of work. I will be calling Rahn again in the future not only if I need a locksmith, but also when I need any locks repaired or replaced.

Unfortunately we have locked ourselves out of the house twice. The first time we used some other locksmith and they were terrible it was a mess and they messed up our front door. This time we called Rahn's and they came within 25 minutes of me calling. We got excellent service and they did everything they could to get us back into our house without damaging our door. They gave us excellent results and I would recommend them to anyone! Thanks for getting us back into the house without any costly repairs.

Great, professional and personable service, from the first call to schedule an appointment, all the way through to the end of the service call. Darryl asked all the right questions to ascertain what I needed in order to re-key my house, and was able to provide me with a quote over the phone, and schedule service in a timely fashion. Brenton came out to do the service call, and was friendly and unbelievably efficient, going above and beyond to make sure that each lock was working properly, and taking the time to explain what needed to be done for each door. Great service, and great people!

The owner of Rahn's locksmith just left my home and I am livid. Why? Because this man was condescending, misprepresented himself and his services, and after a five minute service that involved using a flat head screwdriver to press open a stuck screendoor lock he charged me $95. He said in our initial phone call that if he did nothing and it did not require additional materials, he might not charge me at all. When I reminded him of that, he told me directly that I did not hear him correctly. After he wedged the door open with the screwdriver and said the fee for his service (mid-week, and inside the city of Lincoln) was $95 I was shocked. I understand service people need to be paid, I have absolutely no problem with that, but $95 for this level of work is exhorbitant. When I pressed him on this, his condescending response was, 'Why didn't you do it yourself then?' This locksmith tells me he has been in business for 30 years. I cannot fathom how if this is the way he treats customers. I have utilized services and given services through my own business over the years where no fee was charged, or a significantly reduced fee was collected because no real service was provided. Those are the service providers I continue to call again and again. Rahn's Lock Service will not be one of them.

He got the old door latch mechanism dismantled with minimum damage, and later got the parts to repair and put in a new mechanism, with no need to replace the original doorknobs. He purchased new garage remotes we needed, and then erased all old codes and reprogrammed our garage key pad and new remotes. Also, a couple door mechanism were adjusted to work properly.
