Dealing with MULTIPOINT Locks is a nightmare when they malfunction. They last about 10 to 15 yrs and then can malfunction and lock you inside. First it was the shootbolts, then it was the deadbolt. NOT FUN! Was able to order replacement part via allaboutdoors dot com which has tons of great replacement parts for everything doors. AB1 was able to OPEN the locked bolt and replace the part I had on hand. Other locksmith in town was twice the rate. Other 'glass' place in town wanted 1k just to look at it!! RIDICULOUS. Rate was reasonable, technician worked patiently until it was all operating properly. CALL THEM and give them a try!

Just calling to see if they were available to help I got a dose of the arrogance and lack of common sense this company espouses. I had just bought a car and was driving it home when I lost my keys while getting gas! I and had a NOTARIZED title and all the transactional details from FB proving that I legally own the car. I even offered to have the person on the title call them to verify as well! Even though I was less mile away, and had all this valid evidence of ownership, they refused to come out and said that without my car, I would have to bring all that stuff down to their office before they would even think about helping. Called their competitor and had the opposite experience. Use anyone bit this company! They have no commitment to common sense, arrogantly patronize their customers, and are into making arbitrary judgements and rules without any rational bass. Avoid this company of at all possible and save yourself the hassle!

They are the best, saved my life with my car. I would absolutely have them do any key job for me. They also have woman locksmith that is quite excellent. If you are nervous for some reason I'm sure they can always have her come out to key your house. They all very helpful.

AB1 Locksmith has not been very kind or accommodating since my friend was burglarized and had their keys stolen. It has been a very trying time for the both of us, and I wish they weren't so rude. The technicians are relatively friendly, however I would take my business elsewhere if it wasn't already paid for. Locks have not been changed after one week (they say they're waiting on a part and God knows when they will receive it, or if they will even inform us of its arrival - woman at front desk said she had no idea what I was talking about when asking about whether or not the part(s) had come in by now and that if I paid for it, then the job was complete, but the technician confirmed that we WERE in fact waiting on a part). I will update review upon completion.

I needed a remote start key for my vehicle programmed. They were able to to the job in less than 10 minutes. Toyota of Santa Fe quoted me 3.5 hours of labor to program a key (absolutely ridiculous). They were friendly and did the job with no problems. Great price for the programming too. I recommend them. If you get only one key from the dealership when you buy a car (ask before you buy the car how many keys you are getting), come here to program your spare key.

Terrible, surly, and incompetent. Maybe if you just need a key made, go here. Anything else- No! I called about removing a mortise lock, they asked for photos and I sent them. He said they would call. I called them twice, but no one there knew anything about that lock. I finally got it out and took it in, they thought it would be rekeyed that day. When it wasn't fixed by 3:30, I went in to pick it up, and they messed around for a half hour. Then I took it to Territorial Lock- they got it done before 5! Territorial saved me from a night alone with no front door lock. This little old lady is very grateful to Territorial, and mad at AB1.

Iv bin to alot of places the get keys made I lose mine all the time and its always a bit of a pain in the a$$, this time I went to AB1 and the lady in there was so awesome, she was fast and smart I didn't have to explain anything I just said I need a couple copies of this and she had it done in about 2-3 mins and put them on a little key ring for me! I Greatly recommend this place it's way better than any where else I've bin.

The people at this store are the rudest, most incompetent people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. After going back and forth with other locksmiths for prices we chose to go here as they claim they will drive to your location and make the key for your car there. So after going in and getting everything set up they sent us off without any confirmation of when they would arrive. After waiting for 2 hours we gave them a call to ask when and they absolutely refused to give us any form or estimate out side of maybe tomorrow going as far as to say well you dont have a key for your car so not like you can do anything else but wait for us anyways, so thats exactly what we did. We instead went to the dealer ship who got our car in within 20 minutes, gave use an exact estimate of when it would be ready, and all for $100 LESS than AB1 and with a smile on their face, even giving us a discount! AB1 is awful and I would never recommend them to anyone, the only reason they can boast that they have best service awards in the city is because theres only 2 here and you cant exactly give an award to a Key Kiosk in the Walmart!

Not all jobs are easy and I brought them one that was really complex. I ended up with exactly what I came in for -- their taking the time and effort to satisfy the customer and to do 'what's right' even finding an outsite vendor to help them do it. They didn't have to do what they did, but they did, and I was very grateful. I can't recommend them more highly.

I received such good service from this crew, I never write reviews but have to for them. After getting home from a trip around 6:30pm on a Sunday, the key to the front door wouldn't turn and I couldn't get in my house. I first called a few other 24-hour companies who either didn't answer the phone or seemed very uninterested and quoted 1-2 hours to arrive. AB1 answered right away, and someone was over within 20 minutes. He made a key and got me in quickly. In a bit of miscommunication on my part, the deadbolt still needed fixing, so I called to have someone back over the next day during regular business hours. Barb came, and was awesome. She rekeyed the lock and now it works perfectly. Plus, they didn't charge me a second time. Rates were very reasonable and as quoted. Definitely recommend!

A dog locked herself in her owner's super hot (90 degrees plus) car. The owner's keys were in the car). Although the man who answered the phone didn't seem to pick up on the emergency rush, Ramos got in the AB1 van before I got off the phone, and arrived to open the locked car incredibly fast. On top of that, there was no charge to rescue 'an animal or a child.' I brought a bowl of water for the dog who drank and drank and is fine.Tip: toss a taroaulin (blanket, etc.) over the hot car to keep the sun out while you wait for rescue -- it'll stop the car from heating up even more.

(I lost my car key) at first they said that they could help, then said maybe, then they said it would be difficult but doable... The quote price went up and Up and UP starting at $35 all the way to $185. I dropped by the dealership to see if maybe they could help me figure out a cheaper way, as I was already in the unfortunate position of asking the church for financial help.... They quoted me $29 everything included. I had two (other) keys made while I was at AB1 locksmith, they charged me almost ten dollars for two keys!!! No lunch for me now :(When Home Depot, Walmart, and even THE DEALERSHIP can beat your price I don't see a reason for returning. Small store, very small customer area, I had to keep shuffling so two of us could get helped. Two thumbs way down from elbow room, to price, to honesty. Beware of these guys, may charge extra for those in a jam.Please don't forget to give me the thumbs up if you find my review helpful... Thanks

Barbara did a great job! We needed a home re-keyed on a Sunday. She responded quickly and was at the house before we knew it. It took her less than an hour to pull cylinders from 6 different doors, re-key them, re-install them and then present us with a new set of keys! And the price very reasonable. Thank you!

While other companies estimated between 30 minutes to over an hour to help me out, 4B1 would be at the house in 15 minutes. My experience with this business was not only bad, it was pretty close to unbelievable. My husband left his keys in the mailbox, and someone took them. That was on Tuesday. We waited a day, hoping whoever took them would return them. Didn't happen. So we are pretty uptight about someone, probably from our neighborhood, having keys to our house. I called A B 1 and the soonest they could come was Friday. So on Friday I got a call from the dispatcher saying the technician was parked in front of our house. Except he wasn't... A very long series of phone calls between the dispatcher and me, and the dispatcher and the technician (who I'm told was the shop manager) took place. The guy kept saying he was in front of our house. Not so... This went on and on. I opened the garage door and stood out in the cold for the better part of an hour waiting for this presumably lost locksmith, so I could flag him down when he passed. I finally had to call the dispatcher and tell him I was cancelling and would have to call another locksmith.We've had zillions of delivery people, painters, plumbers, and landscapers come to the house. No one has ever had a problem finding it. It could't be easier or more straightforward. I have to say the dispatcher was great. I think he was very embarrassed by this absurdity and being caught in the middle of it. The manager/technician probably just wanted to get off early on Friday afternoon, and instead of being professional and honest about it, he played me for a fool. I think the owner of AB1 should rethink who he's got managing his business...The result of his little game is now we have to wait until Monday - another 2 days - to get our locks changed, so we have to spend the weekend hoping some stranger doesn't walk into our house.
