Excellent response time. We had a bank front door lock that was broken and staff could not get in to open the bank. Odom reacted to the emergency and got the branch door open. While I was working to get Odom to the site immediately I offered them double time pay to make the bank a priority project. Their response was that is not how we work we will go there immediately but we will not except extra money for the emergency call. Great company, great ethics. Well done.

We are so grateful to Allen Odom and Marianne for being able to open our safe after some young burglars had made this impossible... it took two days and over 20 drill bits (turns out we have a robust safe!) but they were not to be denied! Even Gene got min on the action!

We had a large gun safe and a very tight schedule for the sale of our house .I called Gene at A.L. Odom and told him it was going to be a difficult removal and an even more difficult re-install at our new house about 150 miles away.Gene came to the house and also looked at a video of the new house and said they could do it, and on short notice, they got it done.They were extremely careful, professional and great to work with. So glad I went here to get my fire extinguishers recertified. They were awesome! William treated me like a best friend the moment I met him outside the shop. Key and and associate immediately asked what they could do for me, got right-to-work certifying my extinguishers, then asked if I'd like my coffee mug topped off inside while they finished up. One step further, I had a trailer hitch receiver Lock that needed to come off without a key and they sawed it off in a matter of moments at no charge! They aren't the closest locksmith to me but I will definitely go the extra distance to come back. And by the way, they are at the very end of the storage center and if you blink you could miss it. Word of advice, don't blink.

I needed a replacement key made for my 2006 Lexus and they took good care of me. I was in and out in about ten minutes. I stopped by their store on Sweeten Creek Road (only a few minutes from Biltmore Village) and saved myself a ton of money while getting excellent service. Some other locksmiths are mobile only, so you pay a service call fee for them to come to you. If you can go to A.L. Odom's retail location, there are no service call fees. Thus, my Lexus key was around $100 less than at a Lexus dealer, and almost exactly half the price I was quoted at another local locksmith with mobile service. And everyone there was extremely nice.

I could not find even one locksmith in Yancey County so I bit the bullet and drove to Asheville with my cousin to get a gun case unlocked. That turned out to be easier than driving back to Texas to get the key for the two locks. We were impressed by Neville's ability to get it open for us and provide suitable temporary locks. It was well worth the drive and gratifying watching a person work who loves what he does for a living.

The lock on my front door broke leaving me unable to secure my house. I'd also been putting off installing a dead bolt as well. I didn't know which company to call, so I tried a list of several locksmiths I found on the internet, but no one was willing to come the same day. Gene at Odom took my call first thing the next morning and promised and delivered getting one of his techs to my house that afternoon so I wouldn't be left again with an unlocked door overnight. The techs were very professional in their installation and completely cleaned up the wood shavings and associated mess with having to drill and cut into my door. And the price ended up being a few dollars less than the estimate quoted on the phone when I first called. I will definitely be using A.L. Odom for all my lock and security needs in the future. I called this locksmith this morning about my 1995 dodge. I just moved here and bought a work van that the ignition had been changed and there was no door key. The guy on the phone told me that 'no locksmith could make a key to a car older than 1995'. Well my hometown locksmith made a key to my 1956 Chevy! So I knew that could not be true. So I called around and found another shop that did it just fine. If you cannot do the work do not lie and say no one else can!

I recently purchased a large safe from A.L. Odom Locksmiths. From the first telephone call to inquire about products to final delivery it was truly an outstanding experience. Even though I live an hour from the store location, Gene and Diane came to my home to ensure they understood the placement so they could quote me an accurate delivery cost and have the necessary staff at delivery. There was no charge for this visit. When they delivered the safe they took all the necessary time to ensure that the safe was placed where I wanted it and secured properly. There was no rush to do so throughout the process and no damage to my new home. It was amazing with a safe weighing over 1,800 pounds! Gene and his team were truly awesome and total professionals!
