I always use A1 Locksmiths. Tim was so helpful while I was in the store picking out my locks, he helped me select the right type for my home and even came out that same day (Saturday!) and installed and re-keyed it for me. Easy peasey. When we moved into our home 3 years ago we had A1 re-key the home and they were so professional and quick then too. Super local business. Thanks, guys !

I called this place when I was in a pretty desperate situation. After traveling 12 hours and finally arriving at the airport in Durham I realized that I had lost my keys. I called this place specifically because it said 24 hours service. I called, I gave my information, they said they would call me back in 5 minutes. I waited 20 minutes and called them again and then they said they didn't have any technician available. It was really outrageous, I wasted my time, and I feel they are engaging in false advertising. I do not recommend this company.

You never know how your day is going to go. My sister-in-law was locked out of her house by another family member by mistake this morning. She had brief access to her neighbors phone with just enough time to tell us that she was stranded with no car and no cellphone. I contacted A-1 Lock & Safe. They were amazing. My sister-in-law lives kind of far. They were there in less than an hour and only took a few minutes to unlock her door. Thank you to Tim and the locksmith that helped. You really saved the day. Ricky came to my rescue when I called. Locked out of my neighbors house while pet sitting their dog...with the dog and keys locked in the house. Ricky was patient, kind and most importantly came as soon as I called late at night. Around 10 PM, I locked my keys in the trunk of my rental car, which has a security system in place that prevented access to the trunk once AAA got into the front of the car. The rental company said they could only offer to have the car towed to the nearest service center and it would take one to two days for them to retrieve the keys for me. I'm dogsitting and had the key to the owner's house on my keyring, so there was no way that was an option. After a stressful few hours, A-1 was quick to respond and assured me they could make me a key to get me into the trunk. And they did, at a completely reasonable price! If anything like this ever happens again, they will be the first I will call. I can't thank them enough for saving me!

Our car malfunctioned and locked key in the car while it was running. We were on our way to Virginia evacuating from Hurricane Florence and was in the middle of nowhere and they came out and got the job done. They told us 30-35 minutes and came out in 27! Amazing service got the door open in 5 minutes.

Most companies would have just taken my money. They also checked other locks to make sure there were no problems. That is EXCELLENT service.
