Very knowledgeable about many different situations. Their experience showed when they wouldnt give up trying to get into the trunk of a 1965 Malibu SS. He was able to make an impression of the lock on a new key and hand filed it until it worked. And was able to cut a correct key for it. Amazed.

I previously posted a review where I had only given 3 stars. After some considerable amount of thought I came to the conclusion maybe I'm a little too hard on my scores. I have always considered 3 stars good. I have rethought the way I evaluate business's however for me to give 5 stars is very rare. So trust me 4 stars in my book means they are good. I mean good as well rounded in customer service and repairs. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Don Hills Lock. In fact I recommend them over any other locksmith around. I have used just about every Locksmith in Durham, Bahama, Roxboro and some from Raleigh, and they far exceed the other locksmiths in the area. I have used Don Hills for several years now and some months more then others. I am over the Facility Maintenance for a very large Pharmaceutical company, and standards at our company are very high. Don Hills is truly an awesome business. So thanks for all the great service you have and hopefully will always continue to provide.

I locked myself out of my car last night and called Don Hill's this morning for some help. First of all, the lady on the phone was extremely nice and helpful. I was quoted 45 minutes but they arrived in about 30 minutes. Paul, who helped me, was amazing all around. He was prompt, respectful and did his job very well. Don Hill's was the cheapest option I found and I personally believe they have the best service.

We received prompt and friendly service from dispatch to the locksmith arriving and opening the locked deadbolt. Paul was fast, knowledgeable and friendly. After discovering it needed to be replaced he saved us money by replacing part of the mechanism instead of the whole lock. Highly recommend choosing this company as they were able to get to our residence within twenty five minutes of the call and had all the work done in a quick and timely manner. A+

Needed part replaced on deadbolt lock. Called ahead, told them what time I would be there. They were ready for me. Brian took care of me. Got the replacement part and explained to me how to put the lock back on the door. Took me less than 5 minutes to put the lock on the door and test to make sure it was working properly. Matt did a phenomenal job rekeying our entire home. He is beyond knowledgable and, more importantly, enthusiastic about his work. He reviewed each door/lock in our home with us and helped us select the best lock for each one. We had a particularly tricky pocket door that he spent time researching the perfect lock and handle solution. We cannot recommend Matt and Don Hill's Lock and Safe more highly!

Went above and beyond! Called to get an estimate on new external locks with a keypad, and they sent Paul right over. He was able to match our finish, and helped us repair two antique doors. We love the new keyless entry! Matt came back to finish the job-- also extremely polite, and was happy to help teach me how to unlock our upstairs knobs, even gave me his screwdriver from his truck. My experience could not have been better. We will use them again and highly recommend them.

Got a key copied here. Normally I get keys copied at Home Depot, but they didn't have the right blanks for this one. Don Hill's had it. The copy was quick and cheap.

So I went to AutoZone the other day to get power steering fluid. Purchased the fluid and the employee was going to show me where the fluid is supposed to go (but not pour it for it's company policy) until I realized that I locked my car key in the car. I had my 5 year old little sister with me in which made the situation worst because she really didn't understand why we were sitting NEXT to the car, hot and hungry. Called the first locksmith I could Google and they said 30minutes in which Josh (I believe his name was) showed up promptly like a knight in shining armor. In about I'll say 5 minutes tops he was in the car and taking payment. The best part of this story was that the manager at the Autozone couldn't even find the port for the power steering fluid and gave up on me. Josh on the other hand took it as a challenge and somehow researched it (I didn't have my owner's manual for my 06 Buick lacrosse which also sucked), located it, and obtained a funnel in the van in which he used to pour the fluid for me. I believe everything happens for a reason because without him I would have never found where to put the power steering fluid and even if I could there was no way I would have been able to do it myself. Josh was my angel that day and I would recommend Don Hill's to any and everyone for not only did he see the job through, he went above and beyond the call of duty. I really do appreciate the integrity of this company and it's employees!

The only fully-functioning key to our old van snapped in half the other day. I called Don Hill's on Hillsborough and explained the situation. The lady on the phone was patient and listened carefully to my problem, and explained best- and worst-case scenarios, as well as where they were located and their hours. When I showed up later, she remembered all the details of our conversation and set right to work cutting new keys from my broken one. She encouraged me to go check the copies on all the doors and ignition before I paid, and even explained why the copy I'd had made elsewhere a year ago was designed just for the driver's door and ignition (valet key). Best part? I paid the same for this quality of customer service and new keys as I did for a sloppy job and zero service elsewhere. I *highly* recommend this location!
