I recently lost the key-fob for my mazda 3 and called the dealership and another locksmith. They were unable to make the key in a timely manner at a good price. My neighbor told me to call Eric at A-1 Coastal so i did and he came to my car with a key fob and programmed the key to my car in less than 30 min. I was able to get to work instead of having to take off and wait a day to get it done. Good Company to get car keys made!

My wife came by their shop the other day and got a key fob done for our 2016 Ford Explorer and was charged a fair price for it. They also were able to unlock a lock box we brought in the same day. I highly recommend these guys for any car keys you need made, much cheaper than the dealership!

Very professional from the first phone call to coming way out of the way, long after hours, in the cold to help my wife. She lost her key fob and would have had to have the car towed into the dealership and pay an unreasonable amount of money for that and another key fob. She decided to figure out how to get a key fob, or who would do on site work for this area. There was no one. She was in a jam to say the least! At last resort, she called A-1 Coastal Lock & Key and spoke with Eric. He was fantastic! He offered to go way out of his area, long after hours despite the week following the holiday, and in the cold. He was super professional, never complained about how far he had to travel and his rates were extremely reasonable. I even offered more than what he asked for because it was worth so much more for the work that he had to do, not only for key fobs but also for unlocking the door and his time and travel. He wouldn't take it. I would highly recommend and would rate them 100 stars if I could. She was so grateful and no amount of thanks could make up for his work!

Price is not bad if you are looking to make a simple copy of a laser cut key but the experience was terrible. I made an appointment which the guy was a half hour late to. Then he was on the phone the entire time he interacted with me and then the first thing he said was that he jumped my car - without asking. Said the battery was dead even though I drove there just fine and have had no issues with the battery. It was a nice thought had it been dead but I would have preferred to know that someone was messing around in my car. Would not recommend.

I went to 3 different hardware companies to get a car key for ignition only and not any of the keys would fit. It was for a 2007 miata. I was told I could only get a key from my Vin number.I called Eric at A1 Coastal Lock and Key and he said I needed a chip for a key to work and that I didn't need to go through my Vin number. He used a chip to make my ignition key and it worked! I was so relieved and happy. Now I know where to go for all keys.Eric is also very nice and friendly. I 100% recommend Eric!

I have a Holden Commodore and now know according to several that it is in fact one of the hardest cars to unlock... I closed my keys in the trunk at 9 am one morning and contacted a lockout service. A tow truck arrives and tries to get in the car for close to an hour without success. Apparently the car will trip to a 'lockdown' mode that disables the electronics including the truck button even on the glove box as well as disable the lock switches and one single key access. The tow service called another locksmith and they couldn't get in to the car either. Called the Chevrolet dealership and they provided me with a blank and the key code to carry to another foreign car dealership to cut because they don't have that specific jaw set. long story short.. that didn't work either! Called A-1 and with a little bit of information exchange, he cut AND programmed a valet key that instantly opened the car at 5:30 pm. Long day but A-1 saved the day!

Arrived and realized that the shop did not have anyone there, but called to set up a time to meet. Eric the owner was super nice and met me in the shop within the hour, I assume he hurried to finish another job just to meet me.I had 3 keys made for my Ford 150 & he finished them and tested them all to made sure the chips worked.
