Woman on the phone was so nice and very helpful. She sent someone right out. Gentleman's name was Ryan; so nice, did a GREAT job, and very REASONABLE! Would use them again without hesitation!

On Thursday February 06 I stopped by at about 4:10 to have a key cut...there was no one there and the sign clearly was marked open until 4:30. The next day I came back at about 3:30 to find that hey were closed AGAIN, this time with sign saying they were closed. Wasted an hour of my time going to this 'business' twice. This would be a great spot to open a locksmith shop...doesn't appear the be a reputable one in the neighborhood. Finally went to Lowes...should have gone there in the first place. Edit...I know what time it was, and you and a Woman were getting into your cars in the parking lot in the back. You have a big truck if sorts.

Women working behind the counter was rude. I walked in and said 'hello, how are you?' And she literally didn't even reply. Then the phone rang twice, and she cursed out loud and said something to the effect of 'just let me do my g.d. m.f. work', and answered the phone with hostility. Not a welcoming environment at all and if it weren't for needing keys at that very minute I would have left immediately. She should have been elated that people were calling for a prospective business opportunity, because I can't imagine anyone beating down the door these days to have keys made.

Once again, outstanding service!!! Ryan had changed the locks at my father's house last year (2018) and this year it was my house's turn. I've never seen someone take so much pride and desire in their work. I even told him I wish he was the locksmith at my place of employment. Excellent service with affordable prices. You can't beat having locks changed for these prices. This is much cheaper than buying and replacing all door handles and deadbolts! This is the way to go!!!Post from 2018: Ryan was fast and professional. I would recommend this company. Very affordable to rekey locks instead of replacing them.

I've been trying to get a copy of a key for an old vehicle made for a long time with no success. None of the box stores have the right key. One hardware store did but did not cut it right and even after taking it back for a second cutting it wouldn't work in the ignition so I gave up. Finally I found the right place! Ames cut it once and it works perfectly in the doors, ignition, trunk, and glove compartment. I couldn't believe it. Thank you so much!

I called to get an emergency lock smith at 430 am was told the technician would be there in 30 minutes 40 minutes went by nothing I called the company again was told they were on another job was taking longer than thought would take another 30 minutes .I received a call from the technician ..sayn he was getting of highway shortly ... another 20 minutes. Went by hot a call back said. There was traffic and was going to be about 20 minutes... it was 630 and still nothing.at 639 received a call saying they were there by this time I had opened my car myself.... this company is horrible would never recommend to anyone or would ever use in future the last time I talked to the tech he said he was 10 minutes away literally would not have got there for another 40 minutes very unprofessional!!!!!

By far the best company on the planet for getting into a car with the keys locked inside. My kids were in my vehicle in the middle of summer and somehow it accidentally locked. They showed up in five minutes and were in the vehicle in another five. I've used them for years and will not ever call anyone else!!

I have a locksmith within 2 minutes from my house - however, I did not choose them and used Ames. Customer service is very important to me and Ames has excellent customer skills and are fairly priced. It took them just a few minutes to make it to my home near South Detroit and South Avenue and he was able to unlock my car in no time. I can guarantee that if any further needs come up, I will definitely use Ames again despite having a locksmith just two minutes from my house because price wise and customer service wise, the closer locksmith falls far behind Ames.
