The staff is friendly and they have always been helpful to me. It's a good place to go into if your in a pinch. Pricing is a bit high in my opinion yet it's a small town and the store fits that size. It doesn't have everything yet it has more than you think. There definitely is benefits to having this store in Florence

I am traveling in my RV and went into this store needing three items for it. I got them all taken care of because of the very helpful and friendly staff there. They provided some of the best customer service I have seen in awhile. Great job!

One of the best True Value stores in the country. Florence is a small town (pop. 8500) on the central Oregon coast, an hour from the nearest big-box store. But I rarely need to make that hour drive because this store stocks nearly every imaginable piece of hardware -- most of it in stainless steel, a necessity here on the edge of the Pacific ocean. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly staff. If this store ever closes, I'll probably move....

Excellent service. Extremely varied (surpisingly complete) selection of hardware, tools, supplies and goods related to building and fixing your stuff. The anchor for Florence area hardware. Prices are often as good as you can find.

Very poor return policies no help when it comes to no receipt even when you for sure know the product came from there store even when they pulled it up in their system and saw when I purchased it still wouldn't return what I bought not even instore credit

They ran me through the ringer for $1.59 worth of hardware! Long time resident. Shopped with them for over 20 years - even at their old location on 101. For decades, when buying hardware, you simply dump the nuts & bolts in the bag & write the price on the outside. THIS TIME - the clerk wanted everything but the UPC. She did not understand decimals. She did not understand that .5 = fifty cents! (see picture)She insisted that we walk back and review every item - this while customers had to wait in line. It was the most ridiculous experience I have had in a long time. And it was all needless. If they had a new policy about labeling hardware - it was not posted. For $1.59 in hardware, they just lost a 20 year customer. Why would I expose myself to that type of rude & ignorant behavior? It was embarrassing, it felt like she did not trust my word & I was being questioned. They will never see me there again! Plenty of other choices in town.

Florence is a town of about 8,000 people, so it can't support the big box stores whose prices are cheaper on some things. This store fills a huge gap for hardware items and has much in the way of nuts, bolts that cost the same or less than in Eugene. Fred Meyer and Bi-mart offer household items such as fans, heaters and lumber items are available at two lumber yards in town and those items are generally less there. With the internet available to check pricing, check them all out and see who has the best value in the time frame you have. You will not have to wait 10 minutes in line like you will in Eugene to get served. They also recycle fluorescent lamps here by the way.Additional--I went there this morning looking for a propane torch, even though only a small selection was listed on the web site. I found the same one that was listed on Home Depot for about the same price. The True Value mail ad, however, had a 40% of coupon on a single item turning a $16 item into a $10 one, an offer not available at Home Depot.

Ya I get the small town thing, but the hours are set for retired folk... what other hardware store closes at 4pm. Pricing is hit and miss - usually fine.
