Called them at 8:30 pm locked out of my apartment which does not do after hours lock outs through maintenance. They had absolutely no one to send and told me they would not at all the entire night they we booked solid.. therefore they do not do 24/7 emergency service as stated. Come to find out another apartment got locked out a couple hours before me and they did not help them either.

I have fought with a very difficult deadbolt for nearly 10 years. Replacing the lock is costly because of the way its cut into the door. When I finally had enough of fighting the lock, I took it to Ellis where a gentleman replaced a few parts. Turning the lock is now absolutely effortless. Wish I had done that sooner.

Showed up with a very unusual lock in my hand. Others said they couldn't key it, others were extremely high priced. In less than 5 minutes I had 2 working copies in my hand. I had a sentry safe that I lost the combination to. It was an old safe that Sentry no longer had on file. They were able to figure out the combination quickly at a reasonable price. He also gave reasonable prices for car remote and keys. I recommend for any of your needs!

The most dishonest business that Ive ever had the displeasure of interacting with. If youre looking for a business to rip you off at the first chance they get, then this is the place for you. I called them for a quote to make a new key for my 18-year old pickup truck. They quoted me at $80, which seemed very reasonable. However when they saw me arrive at the shop driving my new Mercedes, the price for my trucks new key magically jumped to $140 (a 75% price hike). Seriously? Unfortunately I needed the key ASAP, so I begrudgingly paid the extra cost for the sake of moving on with my day. As I sat there waiting, a gentleman entered the shop requesting a new key for his 2-year old luxury sedan, which included a remote key fob and new chip. His price? $150only $10 more than my 18-year old trucks key which doesnt require any chip or re-programming. These people arent here to help you. Theyre here to rob you blind. Dont make the same mistake as I didavoid this business at all costs!

On a night when other '24 hour' services weren't available, Ellis was able to respond to my voicemail and help me out. They were very friendly and professional. I felt very safe as they are a family-run business and I knew that my workplace uses them frequently. The charge was reasonable, considering I was way out in the county and it was a holiday night. They take debit/credit on the spot. I hope I don't have to call them again myself, but I would recommend them to anyone in the Spartanburg area.
