I found locked box from years ago and not able to find a key took the box to them. Box was unlocked in minutes, but no special treasure found inside. Was a very friendly and professional transaction. Will definitely use in future.

If I could give 10 stars, I certainly would! The owners of this business are an amazing husband and wife team who were such a pleasure to deal with and who helped me out tremendously. From my first phone call to the completion of the job, it was obvious they are very honest, knowledgeable, caring and have a tons of integrity. Needing a locksmith can be a very stressful event. I was in a bind and they took the time to help me get through it. THANK YOU Cedar Park Lock and Key for all you did to help me out!

Called at 8:50 AM to ask about having a key fixed and was told it was no problem but he stressed he was still 10 - 30 minutes from being there. I am a store manager so I had plenty of work to do so I waited the 30 minutes and drove in. I waited another 15 minutes at the door then called again. 'Another 30 minutes' he remarked this time. I waited outside their business for an additional 40 minutes before leaving. As a manager myself this is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. I would never lie to a customer or waste over an hour of their time. I'm now behind on my work as well as still having a broken key I have to take to a more professional business. I like supporting smaller businesses but I'd highly recommend people stay away from this one. At the very least know they are closed on Saturdays despite claims otherwise.

Only needed a simple set of keys copied, I prefer the older style method of my keys to be copied, more likely to work than the ones made automated machines (operated by people who aren't locksmiths.) Cedar Park provided for my needs promptly and courteously.

Went to Cedar Park Lock and Key yesterday afternoon to look at deadbolts to add to our doors. They had everything you could want in locks and keys there. Such nice people. We chose what we wanted and Brian was out this morning to install them. He did a fantastic job!!!

Our keypad lock at our office was getting stuck, and we were able to get someone to come by our office within an hour and a half. Very appreciative that the entire locking system was changed out so quickly, which was very convenient for myself and all of my co-workers.

Really appreciate these guys! One phone call and the receptionist located her technician and told me they could be at my home in 30 minutes. To my surprise they had us in the house and were driving off in less than 20 minutes from the time we spoke on the phone! Exceptional service :) Good price.

Helpful and honest. The keys you get here wont wear out like the discount ones you get at Walmart/Home Depot. After time those keys wear out, clog the lock, and stop working. These guys helped up clear out a lock and made new keys for us, and weve been going back ever since.

Their service and professionalism was well beyond my expectations. There was plastic lodged in the lock and others would either not try or wanted to charge an exorbitant amount of money to fix it. CP Lock and Key took on the challenge and not only fixed it but did so very quickly and for a very reasonable price. They were great!

I locked my keys in my car today, so I called. 30 minutes later, I had my keys back. The guy who came out was entirely courteous and professional. Yes, it is inconvenient to need a locksmith, but I'm really thankful for the speedy and personable service. I would totally recommend this company!

I had some nice kitchen knives I bought a year ago and they had seen some heavy use. They were getting dull and tip was chipped, brought them here and they are as good as new, he even restored the tip somehow. Great place, Great service.

It's not everyday in our technological age that you can find something authentic like this establishment. Cedar Park Locksmith and key has every modern tool to cut or build the right key and I like that they do the job right with the same patience and understanding that locksmiths of old hold.

Had an emergency situation, 2 yr old locked me out the house. Brian came to my house within 10 mins and had my door open in seconds. He wouldn't even charge me, probably sensing my distress as the fire truck was there, as well. I really appreciated the kindness and professionalism during a situation when I was already upset!! Thank you again!!

Please make sure you specifically tell them what you want, and hold them to it. If the one who called and placed the order is not present, you will be up sold.Hired this guy on Monday as part of routine punch list process for one of my clients. When initially called, I specified the situation, I was a GC getting done with a renovation and needed a total of two exterior doors rekeyed, which both had a standard lock handle and deadbolt so a total of 4 rekeys. They mentioned it'd be ~$128, I also specified that I would not be present and that my client would be able to give them their house keys so he could use to rekey the new doors. When the guy arrived he apparently thought I the GC was the homeowner and that he was supposed to rekey the whole house. Of course he said that my client specifically asked him to rekey the whole house, and since he 'thought' my client was me. When I called the guy, he flipped out on me and said the my client was full of *$#& and how he just did what he was told.... Needless to say, we won't be using their services again unless I'm specifically there to make sure I don't get up sold through my clients.

I needed a copy of my key for a used Lexus I purchased in private sale where the owner gave me only one key. This is not one of those modern 'chip' keys, but is the kind of key that requires using a special machine for the way the grooves are cut. So I knew the cost would be much higher than for normal keys. I called around and got prices around $50, while Cedar Park Lock & Key did it for $35. The owner was very pleasant and helpful, showing all the warmth of a long-standing mom-and-pop business that they are. The key works great, and now I know where I'll go for any future lock & key needs.

Bryan helped us out with my sons motor cycle when every one else just wanted to replace whole assembly. We trailered it over to him at cedar park location. After he was closed ,for 30 minutes, he worked on cylinder to get a key made. Saved us a hundred dollars or more . Have been back for every key needed since. Thanks

Two stars for the fact that 1, my lock was fixed, and 2, it was fixed quickly. (My key wouldn't lock my door, but could unlock it). How?Added some silicone based lubricant. It only took 26 minutes in total for a phone call (4:20pm) to have a locksmith sent out (arrived 4:35p), lube the lock, write a service ticket and left at 4:40p. Took 5 minutes TOPS for the actual service, half of that to write up a service ticket for $68.00+$5.61 tax for a grand total of $73.61.The lady I spoke to when I called initially asked me to describe in detail what was wrong with my lock and the situation. I was not offered any silly advice such as 'have you tried to lubricate the lock', or something, for us plebs.I called again, post-service, at 4:46p to express $73.61 was a bit much and I just didn't see or understand the 'value' of what it was I purchased (like, was their work guaranteed? I still don't know the answer).Considering I utilized SOME of their silicone lubricant and the gas it took to get here, which was obviously not much (because the locksmith had already made it back to their office) and probably adds up to something like $1.50, perhaps adding in the time for the locksmith, but I don't know anybody who makes $169.87/hr, that's pretty much the rate I was charged for all-in-all a 1 minute quick fix.I also asked about the 'tax' for a locksmith service, because I was unaware that you could charge tax on a 'service', to which I was told 'you'll have to take that up with the comptroller'. Rude, it was just a question. Mid-rant, the lady apparently did not want to listen to me anymore, just hands the phone to the locksmith (who had just left my house) and he introduced himself as the person who was just here. He told me various things such as how they usually tell their clients about lubricating the lock, how he performed a service by fixing my lock, and that I'm paying for things such as how it took a vehicle to drive to my house. Also he even mentioned to me how he could have easily charged me twice as much, but he was being nice. Beyond that, I hope you're not looking to this place for ANY type of 'customer service' or for any type of 'client education' for that matter. They sound like a bunch of jaded folks who are unhappy with their job. I can't imagine why they are so unhappy if they're charging out the wazoo for something they could just recommend to their customers over the phone (perhaps their customers like to object to their pricing structure often). Spare me by not wasting your gas driving the 2 minutes to and from my home without so much as a smile and then making me pay half of your car insurance for the month. Look, my point is that if you call tech support or a plumbing service, they'll ask you silly troubleshooting questions such as 'have you plugged in your monitor, or turned the device off then on', or 'have you tried pressing the reset button on your garbage disposal', before sending out someone to have a look at such a high price.

Charged me $80 for doing literally nothing. My car wouldn't start because of a key problem. Before they did anything to it it started up just fine. He charged me $80 just for driving out to me 5 minutes away.

Let's just say they are not experts in the field. I brought in a special order key for my motorcycle and they cut it wrong and it didn't fit. Besides paying $15 for the blank that I brought in, they made me pay $10 for the service. The service of ruining my key? I asked them what went wrong and the guy tells me that he didn't notice the extra groove on the side. HELLO! You are a locksmith! I didn't ask you to tune my piano! Save time and money if you have real keys to copy by going somewhere else.
