The problem was not what the pricing but what the inability to guarantee me that the work could be done and be successful. As for the pricing I could only get a guesstimate and a start price provided there were no problems or troubles that they might run into. I'm used to dealing with confident and experienced technicians that can give me straight and solid answers and not worried about how much money they can make off of me. And asking me for a copy of my driver's license and insurance card was not my ideal professionalism just to cut a key for my automobile. I felt like I just wasn't trusted there.

I had a replacement key for my car, and a spare key for my wifes car cut here today. Lonnie at the counter was very helpful with my tricky Toyota chip key; he was kind enough to point me in the right direction on where to find the chip in my old broken key fob to move over to my new one. Sure enough, he was spot on and it works like a charm. Both keys were cut clean and turn smooth like butter, the wait was minimal, and the cost was very reasonable. More importantly, the knowledge these folks have is priceless. Won't be going anywhere else but here the future for keys and locks. Need a 6-star for Lock Doc.

We've always had good experiences here. Recently we went to the car dealership for 2 copies of keys for my new truck. $500. Wow! At lock docs it was half that plus the programming and cutting. Which would have been extra at the dealer.

When it comes to professional service with a smile, the guys at the Corpus Lock Doc should be your go-to spot. Needing a new key with the remote for my vehicle, I went to the Lock Doc for assistance. After the 1st minute in the building, I knew I would be in good hands. Interestingly enough, my particular key situation normally required '2' working keys in order to have a new one made. That required the Lock Doc to order an item that would allow a key to be made from just one working key. However, it would be a few days before that would come in. I let Ricky know that I was heading out of town and really needed to have a spare made before leaving. Ricky had the answer to my situation and jumped into action. He went to the back, came out with a book, saying that he thought that he had found a solution, but that it may take up to an hour to match a new key to my vehicle. After cutting the new key, he went out to my vehicle and began the meticulous programming process. Sure enough, after about an hour of programming, him sitting in the hot vehicle, I hear my truck start with the newly programmed key. Bottom line, where others may have made me wait for an item to come in, Ricky at the Lock Doc, went the EXTRA mile and had me on my way. Yes, some other places say they are cheaper, but, I will ALWAYS pay for qualified service, professionalism, and good old fashioned customer service. So, for all of your key/lock needs, I urge you to head over to the Lock Doc. (No, they did not pay me to write this) I send a heartfelt WELL DONE AND THANK YOU, to Ricky at the Lock Doc. Got my car remotes programmed in about 5 minutes for a little over 80 bucks. Could not get my keys cut because it was a tougher metal and the original was brass... Would expect a locksmith to be able be able to do car keys no problem. Either way I'm glad it didn't work out because the dealership charges 59 to have an OEM key cut and programmed. This place charges 49 to cut and 79 to program it.Parking lot is small as others have mentioned.

Edited: Just received a call from Manny the owner. He listened to my side of the story and said he would rectify the situation. I appreciate the follow up call but would preferred to have had a better customer experience the first time. Manny seemed sincerely apologetic for what happened so I will raise my review from 3 stars to 4 stars.This would have been a 5 star review except for Customer Service. In stead it will be a 3 star review. The person who answered the phone had to be one of the most inept people I've ever spoken to. It was absolutely torturous interacting with this person. I had locked my keys in my car along with my cell phone. I had to walk back to my home with 7 bags of groceries. I asked them to pick me up at my home (I'm 65 and disabled) and I would show them where my car was (a two minute drive). The only reply I could get from this guy was 'We don't pick up people'. I repeatedly told him it was TWO MINUTES from Walmart and all he would say was 'We don't pick up people'. After 15 seconds of dead silence he asked, 'What do you want to do?'. I asked him 'what do you want me to do?' He said they could only meet me at my car which meant I had to walk back to Walmart to meet them. He then said they would call me before they arrived and asked me if this was a good number to reach me at. What? I just told him my cell phone was locked in my car and I was calling him from my home phone! How could you reach me at my car? To shorten this story. Over an hour later the Tech did call me at home. I borrowed a friends bike and rode back to Walmart.THE TECH - The man who showed up to unlock my car was AWESOME. He was very professional and knew exactly how to get into my car (which was especially difficult) without breaking anything. He unlocked my car and accessed my boot in about 10 minutes. Great job!

My sister had a break in and we called Corpus Christi Lock Doc because we could not even get inside our home. The burglars jammed the door so badly that we could not even open or unlock the door. We called them at 9:40 p.m. and Chris, a CC Loc Doc Rep was here by 10 p.m. He was able to unlock and unjam the door. It took some doing, but he was determined. He made sure the home was secure before anyone went inside. He was kind and very reassuring throughout the whole upsetting experience. Having someone with a level head helping you get through such a stressful experience makes things go so much better. Thank you CC Loc Doc, for being there when my sister needed you the most!

Keys locked in car. They quoted a flat fee. I guess it was based on distance and make and model. They were here in less than 15 min as quoted on phone. Took 2 minutes to get in. Very satisfied with one of Corpus oldest locksmith's!
