I went all over town for about a week. I purchased a car at action. The car had a key with alarm system but key would t turn on the car. Called several local locksmiths. Wa yes to charge me from $490-$200. We went to the dealership, I was trying to avoid but had no choice, $300.00, but the nice guy told us about this place. N we were so happy, within 1hr they had the car running knife I went. Happy Customer

Business Is not 24hrs as states on website. I was given a quote for that he changed. I waited til the next day because he said not til Monday. I even explained I called him cause he was 24hrs and I was stuck here from another city. Nope Monday... called and he up the price 80 more dollars! Gonna tell me I will give you a key that wont start the car but unlock it. I told that suppose professional it was remote key that messed up that I was stuck it wouldn't start. He is A waste of time. And and dang liar! Tried telling me I told you no I spoke to you 2 separate times! Website is misleading and and dont get a quote cause it means nothing!

STOP!!!! Read this and RECONSIDER! First, I want to start by saying that not only is this my first review, but also that I even did a little research to learn how to add Google reviews just so I could inform EVERYONE about how bad Discount Locksmith is! With that being said, I would give 0 stars if I could, but by default I can't. I called them to replace the ignition, doors and trunk keys on my car after a different shop let someone steal it with the keys, but that's for another review coming soon. Anyway, they got there extremely late for my appointment, then this guy named 'Jeremy' spent around 3 hours working on my car before he finally told me he had to come back tomorrow which meant another day without my car. No problem still, I'm reasonable. The next day my wife calls me at work to tell me the guy (Jeremy) is back and he's outside working on my car although he never called me to let me know. Instead he just let himself in! So I give him a call to smooth things out and see how the work is coming along and he was very upset although I had no idea why. Meanwhile, my wife is standing next to him and as he hangs up the call from me he continuously curses me out, not knowing she was standing there. She asks, is everything okay and he replies that he can't figure it out. My wife notices he's been cutting wires underneath the column and when she asks about it he slaps on the cover and breaks all the clips that holds it together. At this point he stops working, starts throwing his tools in his truck and leaves. I call his supervisor (Matt), and I explain the situation, but he just says he doesn't believe it. NO PROBLEM, we got it all on VIDEO!!! I show him the video and he agrees to replace the panel. However, the wires he cut went to my alarm and the ignition. Matt refused to pay for that because he said Jeremy worked for hours on the car so that should make it even. Meanwhile, I go to their shop to get the money for the panel and Matt is nowhere to be found for the next 2 months or at least until I get tired of calling and stopping by looking for him. Not only is this place a RIP OFF, but they cost me even more repairs than what i started out with just to fix the stuff they broke. Not to mention how unprofessional it is to curse out your clients and when the boss finds out, he does nothing. Again, the proof is in the video if anyone is interested!!! Never go here!!!

Don't call if you need help on the weekend! We got locked out of our house while we were on vacation. After an 18 hr day of travel we called the number listed here as well as the number on their website. We waited an hour for a call back which never came. They say they're open 24 hrs, but here it is 2 days later and no one ever called us back. We had to call another company that responded and had our door open within 20 mins of our call. If you need emergency service, call the someone else!!

I called in and scheduled service to have locks on a new house rekeyed. The initial scheduled time was for that afternoon. They called back later that afternoon and asked if they could reschedule for the next day as they were particularly busy that day and fell behind. I obliged and rescheduled for the following day where I was told a technician would call me to set up a time. I never heard from them. The low rating is because I was ghosted. The only reason they get two stars is that their prices were extremely competitive and they were super polite on the phone and did call me back to reschedule.

I brought in a lock to re-key. I sure wasn't expecting to pay $100 per hour for a discount locksmith. Quite pricey for 15 mins of work.UPDATE.....It's unfortunate that I cannot respond to the owner's comment. I was NOT quoted a price and the receipt clearly shows that the price was increased by the owner after his assistant re-keyed this simple lock and looked at the invoice he prepared. In any event, it is still $100 per hour based on the time spent and the invoice paid. There were no keys cut, no quote given and they took a shot because it was an expensive lock. It wasn't a 3 dimensional key. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP!!!!!!!

All I can say is 'These Guys Rock!'I had lost my boat key on Saturday while staying in one of the float houses on the Laguna Madre. I cannot tell you how many folks I called when being towed in by a buddy to the dock to try and figure out a solution for this. I had left a message with Discount and they called me back withing a few minutes and said yeah no problem we will come to you or you to us. I loaded my boat and made the 13 minute drive and they hooked me up in less than 15 minutes. You made several guys happy by getting us back on the water to fish. Had very fast service. Got a Honda key laser cut here for $35 which fits very well. Staff there is also very helpful and polite. The only thing of little concern at least to me was that they kept the trial blank with them. They should either destroy it or give it to the customer. Also this place is visible from Holly instead of Airline Rd.
