Tim Holt is amazing! First he helped in the store pick out new hardware. He was very through and answered any questions we had and provided great advise. You can tell he really cares and wants to help you. He was also the one to come out to re-key our house. He was one time which can be a rare thing now-a-days. Lastly, he was extremely professional doing the installation. He made sure that everything he did was the perfection. He also answered any questions that I had because this was the first time I had locks switched out. The work he did was nothing short of fantastic. If I need future work, I will not hesitate to call back and have Tim come out because I know if he does the work, I will have nothing to worry about.

We purchased a new home and Jen came out to re-key and update our locks. She was FANTASTIC! She was knowledgable, thorough, professional, friendly, offered great suggestions, AND kept her work areas super clean. I purchased a new key-fob for a 2018 Chevy Impala LT with push button start and remote start online for $40 and they cut the key-blade to match the car and used a computer to pair the key-fob with my car for $95. Together it cost me $135 total to get a new key-fob for my car, this was much cheaper than what the dealer wanted. The process took about an hour. This is longer than most cars would need but it's how this model of car is and i knew that before hand.

We were having trouble with a lock on our camper. I towed the camper to Albemarle lock and safe, Steven fixed the lock and made new keys for me. Steven was very nice and professional. He took his time working on the lock and saved me alot of money in the long run. Appreciate Steven

This company provides superb service. It is hard to find a company that really cares about workmanship, but this has certainly been our experience with Albemarle Lock & Safe. We actually needed a quite complex locking system and Scott was able to show us a system that would provide what we needed. Tim is a top-notch locksmith and he not only was very precise with the mechanics of the installation, but also cared about the aesthetics of the overall installation and made sure that we were completely satisfied with every detail. Best customer service I've had in a long time! An elderly friend's remote lock fob was not communicating to the lock mechanism. They asked a couple of questions, ascertained the problem, and sent us a new fob. Fast, friendly, and caring. Recommend them over anyone else in the area.

I didnt actually use this company yet. But long story short lost the keys to my car. Spoke with a very nice guy named Jerald. He told me what they could do to help with a couple of different options on new keys. Referred a couple of towing places (my car would need to be towed to their shop). Got back with me on the cost of everything within 15-20 minutes after speaking with him. Very attentive and professional, super friendly and answered all of my panicked questions lol! I am definitely going to use them next week to make another set of keys which actually is at a reasonable price. I did find my keys so didnt have to use their service today.

Keys were cut quickly and accurately (which is more than I can say for the last place that cut keys for me). The best part? The store dog who just wants you to play with him the entire time you're there! I'll never go to another key/lock place if Albemarle Lock is open (unfortunately many of my lock issues happen on Sundays, why is that?).

Ive used this company for multiple lock issues for more than a year now. I do building maintenance in Charlottesville and have had experience with multiple lock companies in the area. This is the only place I call now. The employees are friendly And make quality repairs. My most recent experience was was with a young man who had to come pick a lock in freezing temperatures. He was very professional, went above and beyond and didnt let the weather slow him down

We had Tim Holt from Albemarle Lock & Safe come out to our house today, and I will absolutely be using them again in the future! They offered to call me an hour in advance of the appointment, which he did, but they he offered to adjust his arrival to better meet my schedule. His work was incredibly quick (re-keying 5 locks), he offered options that best met our needs, and the price was definitely affordable compared to what I was quoted else where. A great choice!!

I had had the worst day, and these guys made it so much better! They were able to give me a new car key for a cheaper price than EVERYONE ELSE in town, and they were the only ones who werent going to make me wait a week and a half to do it. They were so sweet, and I was able to play with the dog while I waited. Speedy and super sweet! They definitely deserve your business!

I lost my keys somewhere in my house, after looking for them everywhere in the house for a week, I figured I must have thrown them away. I called 3 mobile locksmiths and left messages, no call back, not even on Monday, when I figured I would be contacted. I asked Renny at the Palmyra Ace Hardware if they could do my car key, and he said to call Albemarle Lock and Safe, I did, they answered, and said if you bring the other key and your car to them, it will save the trip charge. The dealer wanted $200+ to replace the key and program it, Albemarle Lock and Safe charged $110. Because these mobile locksmiths don't return calls, if I need a locksmith, I'll use Albemarle Lock and Safe.
