Locked my keys inside the Tour-Pak (trunk) on my motorcycle leaving work in Fairfax. Called Artie's and explained my situation to Rick who was very helpful on the phone. I brought the bike by and Doug came out to the parking lot and had the lock open in 5 minutes being very careful not to damage the leather covered lid or the lock. We went back inside and Rick knocked out three keys for me and then went back out into the parking lot to personally ensure each key worked flawlessly. Great service, and knowledgeable, professional guys with a well stocked shop. Although I live in Stafford I'll bring my work here from now on.Thanks guys! Rick

I had a new lock and key set installed in September 2016. I wrote a check paying my bill at the end of service. I received a letter from this company today 3/26/2020 stating that the check had never been cashed. I called them to figure out how a company could hold a check for 3 years!! The bookkeeper told me the previous bookkeeper did not do her job and the check stayed in her desk for 3 years. How many other people had the same experience I wonder. Poor business practices. I will not ever do business with these people again nor will I recommend them to anyone. They should get their act together.

I used Artie's to program the spare key a few years ago and had a good experience. This time, I needed a spare fob for another car, so tried them again. As last time, they did great! Ricky helped me this time and he was polite and friendly, even gave me an advice how to use the emergency key and fob when battery is out, and all work was done in mere 20 min! And the price was good too.

I brought in a copy of my truck key to have some new keys made, along with my old worn house key. The clerk looked over the house key and took some measurements. Before he made any copies of it, he showed me how it was worn from years of use and that it might be difficult to make copies that would work as well as the existing key worked. Not in urgent need of additional copies (already had copies from another locksmith that didn't work well without lots of jiggling in the old lock), I passed on new copies. The clerk then made us the truck key copies and then proceeded to walk with me to my truck in the parking lot, jumped into it and tested each of the new keys he had made. Two that would start the truck and open the glove compartment and one that was a valet key without glove compartment access. All worked great. I was impressed with the clerk's desire to make sure all the new copies worked, and the price was less than anticipated. I highly recommend Artie's Lock and Key in Fairfax, VA.

Great service, wonderful people. Ricky spent an hour to get a good copy of an old worn car key and made sure it worked before sending me on my way. The first locksmith I visited just shrugged his shoulders and told me to go to the car dealership. Five stars for Ricky and Artie's!

There's a common service industry expression that goes: 'Good/Fast/Cheap; pick two', implying you'll never get all three. Artie's is a rare exception. Ricky is extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and tenacious. He cut and reprogrammed a blank electronic key fob (that I provided) for a third of the price asked by the Ford dealer 2 blocks away. He made three trips between my car and his lathe to make sure the new key operated smoothly in the ignition & locks. Professional, thorough, fast, friendly and done to 100% satisfaction. This is the only locksmith I'll go to for as long as Ricky's around.

Today was one of the worst days ever. My car key broke in my cars ignition. I almost cried to my manager and she referred me to Arties. I was able to get the key out. Called Arties and Ricky answered. I explained to him and he said come over and Ill fix it. I got there right at 5pm (they close at 5 and he still helped me) and he quickly fixed my key. He was so polite helpful and efficient. I walked out so happy and they turned my frown upside down. Thank you so much for making my day!

I have used Artie's to cut many types of keys in the past and they have always done great work. But, this time I needed a Ford key fob cut and programmed. Sam came earlier than the time we had estimated and I was in such in a hurry to get home so that was super thoughtful of him. Also, I thought we were going to spend at least 30min getting the new key, but it was so fast, I didnt realise the time go by . Was probably 15min tops. Sam as well fixed me an extra key and gave me a great discount that I'm truly grateful for. I'll definitely contact him in the future if I find myself in this situation again. I would like to say That my experience here was very awesome, I had a Honda accord that was older and my key was demolished I had super glued it and destroyed the inside. They were able To not only pull out the tiny little piece they needed from the key but make me a whole new one from scratch basically. I was very lucky to have found this place they take care of you and will do anything they can in order to accomplish your needs. I cant remember the guys name but the one who deals with electronic keys the back is awesome also their techs are great too.

Excellent all around service. Pricing is about the same as other options but their service surpasses the others I had inquired with. They also explain the conditions unique to your lock/key situation so that you actually learn something. Justin was my key guy and he was straight up awesome. Everyone else I spoke to was great and communicated clearly.

Very happy with the service. Very fair pricing. Seem honest and knowledgable. I lost all keys to the front door of my house (fortunately i wasn't locked out). I took out the door lock cylinder to get it reset at their shop and get a new key. It was a painless, quick and easy experience. No upsell or lies about needing to replace the whole lock (like some of the competition had told me). Excellent customer service. These guys are the real deal. They know what they're doing.
