The Lock Shop installed mechanical hardware on our commercial door that gains access through a fob. I was told at the time of install that mechanisms in this do go bad and at some point will need replacement/repair. The hardware recently went bad and our office as a result has not been very secure. I called the lock shop multiple times speaking with the receptionist and being forwarded to the owner Paul's voicemail and was told he schedules these types of appointments. With no returned calls I was forced to call around in an attempt to find another company who could help. I don't know the 'lingo' and had 2 people come out with no success. I finally spoke with a company that couldn't help but referred me to Bulger in North Seattle who was able to send someone out same day. The door now works better than ever... no thanks to 'The Lock Shop'.

Nice people, helpful when they have the key you need. We had 2 'specialized' keys that took weeks to get, currently over a month, for one, and have to call them to see if it is in. Very frustrating. 2 1/2 stars.

Very impressed with their work! I had a key stuck in a lock and they were able to remove it while I waited. It was a tough extraction but they are good at what they do. Price is very fair as well!

The Lock Shop helped me at a very cheap price, and had the work done quickly. It helped that I was able to bring the lock in to their shop so they didn't have to come to my house and charge me for a service call. They did make a mistake in billing me, however, but I called and explained the mistake and I didn't have to jump through a bunch of hoops or spend much time on the phone. They fixed the bill and charged the correct amount. The person I dealt with in the shop was friendly and courteous.

One of their mobile locksmiths is a horribly aggressive driver. Tailgating people, aggressively merging in and out of traffic just to be a few cars ahead and honking at people over nothing. Observed all this foul behavior in a 5 minute period. Oh and easily doing 50+ in. 35 zone only to get stuck at a red light.

The principal virtues of this business are that they are (a) near my home and (b) do work of good quality. If you want lock sets that are not special and are of the brands they carry, you will in all likelihood be very satisfied.If, however, you need something that is at odds with (a) and (b), be prepared for long waiting times, i.e., weeks, and zero communication of status. Its as though theyve never heard of a magical device known as a telephone.The way you as a customer are treated is largely determined by who handles your request. One employee Ive dealt with was congenial and a good listener. Another has been somewhere between gruff and rude.
