The original owner was top notch when it came to customer service. This new owner does not stand behind his products, for example $300.00 electronic keys. I have had problems from day 1, made 3 trips back and still does not work. Original owner has since sold the business to a coworker. This new owner has extremely poor people skills, rude and obnoxious. He told me he does not warranty these electronic keys. It makes me curious if he stands behind any of his work. I was very irritated with his non caring attitude and became quite rude myself, not my normal style. At this rate, his business will be short lived.I ended up buying new from Hoernel Key Shop on Lathrop ave. I paid $285.00 for 2 factory keys verses 1 from American Locksmith for $275.00. Same identical factory key.

Easy to work with, got right down to the problem, & didnt give up u til it was resolved (side note: if you have a gun safe without a key, probably not a bad thing that its tough to pick... side side note: no guns involved, just passport IDs & paperwork). Any future locksmith needs we have are going to be taken here, no doubt about it.

Quick and inexpensive. This is one of those old school places that can succeed when other places fail. I was able to get a key cut for a 1981 Yamaha motorcycle off the code on the ignition switch. Not many other places would have such obscure and outdated information on file! And he doesn't charge very much at all. I would have paid much more for the service. Much cheaper and quicker than going to a retail store or dealer for any key.

I was told $25 to retrieve my keys ,when he got the car unlocked he charged me $95. If I knew that ahead of time I would have called another company.even with a $30 labor fee it wouldn't come up to $95

Awesome service! Called ahead and asked if I should bring to him or a dealership. The car key was stuck in the ignition. No idea how he did it because I thought I tried everything, but he sat down in the car and had the key out in less than 10 seconds. He even then showed me why it didn't work. I asked him to make me 2 copies of the key that actually work.I'm taking all my lock needs to them. Based on past experience, I'm sure a dealer would have charged significantly more.Thanks!
