The hours are wrong here, the store is open until 6 but they provide emergency service 24/7. I stopped by and saw their Open sign was on, but the doors were locked, so I have them a call. The guy who answered clarified they were open until 6, but said he was in the area and was nice enough to stop by make copies of my key! Definitely coming back to this place next time I need any sort of key or lock assistance.

Northstar is where I go for all of my key making and lock smithing needs. They have been able to work magic on a sloply cut vehicle key and make good copies that worked even better-off sure how they did that one. Northstar has also rekeyed my residential locks as well for me quickly when I brought the hardware in to save me some money.

Can't make scheduled appointments. Waited two and a half hours past a scheduled time, called a couple times for updates and was being patient. Finally rescheduled for another day... again waited two hours past scheduled time before finally canceling service and contacting another locksmith. Every time I called these guys they couldn't remember who I was or what the appointment was, had to reiterate four times total. Not impressed.

I'm a property manager so I often need the services of a locksmith. I've used Northstar Locksmith both professionally and personally. They are responsive, personable, and do good work. There are occasional hiccups (when you are in high demand and do as much work as they do its bound to happen) but they have always been good to bounce back and make things right. This is why they are to go-to locksmith for many in the real estate industry.

Stay away from these guys!!! When I called to get re-key of my house after renter left, I was told that the locksmith would be there at noon exactly, due to my busy work schedule, promptness is important. At 1220, I called, person who answered was rude, told me hang on a sec without anything introductory or anything. He eventually came back and I started asking where the locksmith was. He started shouting at someone else mid sentence. Apparently after doing some checking requiring me to call back 3 times, my job was cancelled with no explanation. He said he wouldnt be able to get me in for two more days. I asked if he was able to give me a discount on price due to the big debacle. He simply said no, not explaining and being very flippant.

Don't use this company!!! If you do, you'll be sorry. We called this company to have someone come out and fix our broken lock, and they sent out an unprofessional loser who looked like he just got out of prison (with his jailhouse sweats still on). The guy said he needed to get a part to fix the lock on our door, took the whole mechanism and never called or came back! Now we have to buy a new door. You are really taking a risk when you hire this 'company' to fix anything. We called the company to get satisfaction from them and we never received any answers. These guys suck!!!! 'Hate' is too mild a word for what I think about this pack of thieves!

I had what was quite possibly the worst experience . I walked in and the lady at the front desk treated me like I was trying to make copies of a key I wasnt authorized to make copies of and was extremely rude . I was trying to make copies of a do not duplicate key to a building I own and she wouldnt even give me the opportunity to ask what kind of documentation she would need before she started giving me attitude and being snarky . Will not be giving these people any of myBusiness . I would never look at and talk to a customer the way this lady did , very unprofessional, however I went to able locksmith and they were polite and got me taken care of !

Had them rekey locks and wanted combo locks reprogrammed. The guy could not or would not fix the combo locks. I asked if they could be replaced. For some reason he did not want to do that or it was out of his skill set. So he messed with them and charged me $350.00 for that visit. My front door doesn't lock at all now. I had to cancel weekend trip to hire another locksmith to secure my house.
