Called and a woman answered 10:34 am today 03/13/2020 said they couldn't handle safe box recovery. They transferred me to some other company in Maple Grove. Aren't locksmith able to open general safe box?

Robin the technician came within the window of time the company and I agreed upon even though they were super-busy. I live in Carver County so agreed to meet them at my church in Hennepin County. I got two new fobs and another key for door locks and ignition on my 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix GT and was very pleased with the friendly and courteous service. The cost was way less than if I had gone to the dealer. I have no problem highly recommending them. Thankyou Rapid Key Recovery.

I felt that the service was great! They were super fast and reasonable especially the technician was super understanding with me running errands and being a few minutes late. I also got called about 15 minutes before he arrived but I was also told on the phone that my cost was going to be around 185 for everything. Then when he got there we decided to get another key which he said was for 60. When we got our bill we found out he added another 105 for labor I was not told I was going to get charged for and my total came to 345 dollars. I would recommend but I don't think I got a fair price because I was not told it was going to be that much. I felt ripped off because I was told one price on the phone then charged a whole different way when he got there.

Wonderful service, said I would be home by 5, technician David called me while on way and he pulled in just as I was putting my car in the garage. I needed keys made for door knobs that were installed by a friend last summer and I misplaced the keys that came with them...long story short, David took charge and got to work and had the job done in less than an hour. They came out during a snowstorm on a Saturday night after 11 pm to cut a key- to replace one that had been dropped and lost in the snow. It was a snow emergency and we needed to move the vehicle. Excellent service - highly recommend !

Until today I would have given this business 5 stars. However, I bought high security locks from them and had them installed just over a month ago (multilock ) and was told that it is impossible for anyone to get thru these lock. Unfortunately this is not true. And, I had forgotten to ask for a AAA discount when I got these locks and today was told that in order to get the discount, I would have had to have asked for it at the time of installation. Really!?

The ignition lock cylinder in my husband's car was broken leaving him without a car so I contacted Rapid Key Recovery based on their Google reviews and they did not disappoint. Eric, the technician was great to work with, he fully explained the repair process to us in a way that was easy to understand. He was able to rebuild the ignition lock cylinder and had it reinstalled same day even though it was late on a Friday. I will not hesitate to recommend Rapid Key Recovery to friends and family!

This shop was great. I needed a spare key made for my car. They didn't have it in stock but were able to order it for the next day. They fit me in on time and were much faster than expected, in less than half the time the auto dealers quoted me.Will use again for any key or lock needs!

Had a key for our 2013 Ford Focus cut and programmed for $75 (I provided the key). They also put a battery in my other car key so I left with two fully functional keys. :D It's easy to find, they are courteous and fast, and the waiting area is pleasant. Highly recommend.

The service here was absolutely top notch. I worked with John and Eric on a car key issue that was causing a consistent headache. Originally recommended by Triple A (which if you're a member you get 10% off your services!!), I was stressed after a long day of car troubles and felt desperate to get them fixed fast. This shop closes at 5 PM, like most auto body shops, and I couldn't get there until 4:45 PM from work during rush hour. They were happy to work with me on this! I was greeted with a smile and someone saying, 'we were expecting you!' rather than someone who was ready to get home after a busy Monday. While we thought the original issue was something different, 45 minutes later, John came to me with the solution that I had been looking for for over a month. He stayed an HOUR late (6 PM) to help me and he was informative the entire time. I would recommend to anyone needing a locksmith and great customer service to boot. It's a convenient location on Excelsior in SLP and they have a private parking lot!

Needed a ignition key made. Don't use unless you are friends of this business owner so they can pocket an extra $200.00 from AAA. I was quoted $55 without tax and my AAA was going to cover the $200. Thats pretty expensive for a key when other places charge far less. But I'm only around $55 out of pocket so whatever. But then the guy gets here to work on the car and he tells me that it's over $320 for a single chipped key. I understand running a business but they're already getting paid by AAA and they still want to overcharge for a single key. I told him to leave and I found another company who's coming to do it for just $100. The fact that this company only got one star out of 57 reviews is suspect.

I had been unable to locate my keys in my home and needed my car unlocked to see if they were in the trunk. They arrived within an hour as estimated. The car was unlocked quickly. Unfortunately my keys weren't in the car but he was able to make a key on site within 10 minutes! I had been told by the dealer that a key would take 2-3 business days and I would have had to tow the car to the dealership. Thank you so much for your prompt and friendly service!

Your son Eric is quality people!! AAA put me in touch with him on a Sunday night and he navigated my situation despite my frustration and inconvenience. He was straight with the info about cost and time needed for the job, specifying the difference in pricing between Sunday night service and Monday service--very friendly and I love the fact that you guys are so familiar with how the AAA piece works. If I could make one suggestion it would be not to rely so heavily on google for directions, Eric had to drive way out of the way before arriving. Still was within the time window, I am a super delighted customer!!!

They are not joking around with their name, when they say Rapid they mean it. I found out we had a security issue with a missing key at 9:50 am this morning. After looking as some sketchy national chain webpages I found rapid key on google and called them at 10:05 and by 10:45 our locks were changed and I had 6 new keys in my hand. Heck, It's not even 11:00 yet and I was so impressed by the speed and ease I had to sit right down and write this review. Bonus, the keys actually work great and smoothly. Nothing is catching like the keys i had made for the door in the past. I'll definitely be skipping that hardware store next time i need keys made, I'm going to head straight to rapid key instead. I cannot praise these guys highly enough. I was stupid enough to put the wrong key into my ignition. The dealer said I'd need to tow it, get the ignition replaced and the cost would start at $1,000. Rapid Key took all of three minutes to get it out, and charged me $100. Worth every single penny.
