Matt was the man! Today was so stressful and definitely hot, and locking my keys in my car was the last thing I needed on top of everything. He showed up a lot earlier than expected and was very kind and helpful. Sometimes just creating a bond with a customer is the key to a wonderful business. He definitely turned my day around and had me back in the road in no time! Truly thankful!

Needed an extra key to our 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe for our teenage son, the new driver in the family. Went to both Home Depot and Lowes but neither had the blank to make a copy. Went to the dealership and they said they couldnt get keys made for that model and year!Lost my car keys, including the last one to the car. Called AAA to come and open the door and make a key from the lock. They sent out Ricks Lock and Key. They confirmed what the dealer said: that was the year and model that Hyundai made the keys differently, but Ricks had tech, John Strickland, then joined by another, and they worked for about an hour and a half to make a custom plate needed to make the key.Ricks got the job done when the dealership couldnt! Hats off!A few days later, went to their office on East Brainard to get two copies of my wifes car key made (had a chip in it). Impressive shop. Clean, organized. Nice customer lounge. Took a little longer than they said it would: her cars computer was maxed out on the number of keys it could recognize, but they cleared out all the old ones and got the new ones registered to work. Thanks again!

My grandson was accidentally locked in his mothers car this afternoon. My daughter called and the technician arrived in about 5 minutes. I was just about to break the glass when he drove up. He was able to get into the car quickly and we were able to get him out unharmed. The company doesnt charge when a child is involved and we were so impressed with that. Wonderful experience and I would highly recommended them.

Idk y they have a 4.4 because I just called them and they said $115. To unlock my 2008 Chevy cobalt when shields lock and key and Ace lock and key charge $60.00! A $75.00 save and Ricks is highway Robbery l! I hung up so quick and called Ace and now I just save $75.00 talk about doing your research make sure you shop around

I am a professional truck driver from out of state... and called Rick's recently in distress as I had broken off my ignition key in the door of my rig and was stranded!!! I was referred to give these guys a call by a local guy... and I am so glad he referred me to them!!! They were amazingly courteous, professional, and super kind... Therefore I would definitely recommend them 'above all others' based on my experience with them if you find yourself in a desperate lock out situation!!! I had a great experience with Rick's this morning. When I walked around the truck to get my son out for daycare this morning I realized it was locked. I gave Rick's a call and they had a technician dispatched immediately.Paul arrived very quickly and was very professional. He had my truck unlocked in no time. I went to pay and Paul told me that Rick's does not charge in the case of a child being locked in a vehicle. I couldn't believe it but I am grateful that in a time where you get nickle and dimed for everything Rick's came through for me.

I called to have my car unlocked. I asked for an ETA of the person that was coming to help me. The person I spoke to in the phone said he could not give me and ETA and that I would get a text message with a like to track the driver and a picture of the person coming to help me. I received a text saying someone was on the way, but never received any further information about the ETA or where the driver was and what he looked like. After not receiving anything for 30 minutes, I had to call back and see what was going on. The driver did not call me when arrived at the property to exactly where I was. I had to call again to get in contact with him. Also, Im a AAA member, and the driver wouldnt honor the AAA discount. This was very unpleasant experience and took over a hour to get this issue resolved. Your company never reached out. I had to keep calling to get information of what was going on and when someone would be there to help me.

I was very happy with Corey, and the proponent service he gave. I was left high and dry by another lock company, and called Rick's at 4:00 Pm they had Corey at my shop 45 min. later. he reviewed the job and came back out the next day and installed my new locks. My Company will be using Rick's for all of there lock work from now on.

My daughter needed her ignition key programed . They charged us $94 to program the key. The tech lied about programming a second key, then she gets home. , locks her car door and couldn't get back in her car. We call and the lady got smart while telling her basically it's not their problem and it would bean additional$70 for tbem to come back out to open her door. They are a rip off.

It's a good place our lock guy that came was awesome. Would have given more stars but were put off by 4 hours for whatever reason. 1st guy on phone said he be on his way 20. After 2hr We called back, then it was have to make house key. No big deal just wish he would have given a time frame so we could have slept that night.

Desperately locked out of my apartment at 11 PM after spending all day traveling AND having the flu - I was not as kind as I should have been when I called for help. Horrible phone skills/customer service. As the person you first speak to the woman is rude. However the technician is awesome and friendly. Don't be put off by the person answering the phone. I've used this company for years and they do a good job. Just wish they would get someone in that is pleasant to speak to as the first impression of the company.

The guy I talked to behind the counter was rude and disrespectful. He also acted like helping me was a problem for him. Brought a key it to be made that didnt work so they supplied a new key and charged me even though they messed up the key and was told the price would be one thing and almost charged me double that . Will not be using again and recommend everyone else use someone else .

These guys were a savior last night! It's been a rough year and a friend treated me and my kids to the movies. Single mom of 5 with no family and limited support system. Had my 1 5 and 7 yr old with me. Keys fell out of my purse when I was getting baby out of car seat and I didnt know it and locked myself out. Friend cash tapped me the money but had an auto bill automatically take a part of it. What was I gonna do??? I was so upset. Life just was not in my favor. They were so understanding and empathetic they charged me what I had left of what my friend sent me. and saved the day. My headlights dont work and had to be home by 7pm and they made sure I made it on my way safely in time. Thank you guys!

They charged me 25 dollars to copy a key. I needed the same key copied again and told me the price was 40 dollars higher thid time. Same key same job 7 days later a 40 dollar price increase.They also work closely with local law enforcement. Hope you understand what that means

These guys are top notch all the way. Had key/lock issues w/ my 2007 Honda accord. Couldn't get key to work in door lock or ignition. They were very upfront and said it could cost as much as $350.00. Dropped off at 9:00 am, and had it ready by noon. Didn't cost anywhere near $350.00 and even got my remote door locks (which hadn't worked in years) working. Very professional and honest. I would highly recommend them with any lock or key issues. Wish I could leave more than 5 stars. Also wanted to mention (Harry) in the service department that I dealt with. He was very professional, and knowledgeably. thanks so much.

I called for one lock repair and their driver took the time to check several other locks I was having issues with and made the repairs on the spot. Went in to have a spare key made. Tech couldn't get it to work in ignition, was trying to force it to turn. Said we would just take it as a door spare since it unlocked the door, rather than break our tumbler. Shouldn't have to force the key. It either works, or it doesn't. Charged $40! That is INSANE for a key that will open a door but not start our car. Side Note: tech could use some people skills. Husband was asking some questions, guy acted ticked off to be bothered.
