Did not have any signage about not taking credit cards with no chip! Was very upset when i did all my shopping to find out at the register they didn't take cards with no chip!

This is a nice small town hardware store that's pretty good size. I prefer to shop here over other places if the prices are close. Helpful generally and genuinely.

Great customer care, prices arent bad however, do not take your chains for your chainsaw to get sharpened there. They told me it would take a day and a week later they were still sitting unsharpened and the guy said there were at least 50-60 chains ahead of me.

Visited for the first time today. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Came in to get paint and the manager made a perfect match using the computer and a sample I brought in on a piece of scrap wood. He even offered to save the information if we needed more of the same colour. Bonus for us: dogs are welcome. Took a quick walk of the store and was impressed by the variety of merchandise. Will go back.

They had what I was looking for. The cashier yelling to ask if I needed help with anything, though appreciated, was a little awkward. It would have been better if the couple of people that were actually working the floor asked if I needed help or at the very minimum greeted me.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. The only thing I still used this store for was rentals. Prices are higher and staff is not the greatest. After this morning, the rental department is done for as well. Honestly don't know how this store is even still in business.

We have had nothing but bad experiences since we purchased a lawn mower here that had to be serviced after only using it 4 times. It took 3 weeks to fix and still had the same issues. The store manager is SOOOO RUDE he hung up on us. We called back our phone calls were put on hold and sent to voice mail. Needless to say if you have to drive 40 to 50 miles to get good service from a good company do so. You won't get it here!!!!!

This may have been the worst experience I've ever had....anywhere....ever! I waltzed around for about 40 minutes before I found some help, picking up the typicals; bird seed, sand paper, etc. I put two 18 foot pvc pieces in the cart, essentially turning my true value cart into a 1400's jousting arm...so I parked it right outside of rentals, where there was still no attendant. So I walked up front, stood in line for almost 20 minutes, and asked for some help at the rental desk.We get to rentals, enter deck stain Jerry fresh outta high school...still confounded by man's modern workings (ie: a face razor). He lines me up with a hand sander, but tells me they don't have a walk behind trencher (I've seen it in there ya'll). Either way, let's go with the sander...photo of and a major credit card, 'sure'. They DID NOT accept my MasterCard as it was not 'major'enough for them, something about being issued from the bank. At any rate, I get back to my cart to find that it had been moved and EVERY item in the GD thing had been returned to the shelves. So, shopping at true value...round 2.Never again!

I am writing this review only after having repeated bad experiences here, but only with the older black lady at the register. My friends and family have had the same experiences with her, so why is she still there? We are all done with this store because of her.

This place always has what I'm looking for . I shop down there it seems about once a week. The staff know where everything is in the store and they all seem very friendly and willing to help not like going to some of the big box hardware store where you can find anyone to help.
