Wanted to get a transponder key/key fob combo without paying hundreds. I ordered a key online and tried at least 6 other places to get the key cut. None of the other places would let me use my own key and would cost 100% - 250% more than I paid here.They were quick to answer the phone, quick to cut the key, and friendly for the very short amount of time I spent there getting my key cut. Junior was also knowledgeable in what I was working on.Fast, affordable, and friendly. Thank you.

These guys have helped me out twice now. Once was an old key that was worn out in my 2007 Saturn Vue. They made me a new key and a master so I would always have one put away.This time I took them the ignition and gas cap from my 1988 Kawasaki Vulcan 750. They made a key for it and I didn't have to pay for a new ignition like I thought I might. VERY PROFESSIONAL and just a great group of men that work there.

Allen was a really cool guy, and was very good at explaining the ins and outs of Medicos high security deadbolts! I bought the lock and its the best solid deadbolt Ive ever owned! Good place right here in Tacoma. Your keys can never be duplicated except through them and you must Bring identification to get another key made. So if you want to keep your stuff safe and the bad guys out come check out Puget sound locksmith without a doubt!

Super Fast, Efficient and Friendly. Home insurance messed up one of the locks they had rekeyed (a key/code lock) and after waiting more than a week for someone else to show up, called Puget Sound Locksmiths and Junior came over within the hour, fixed the lock, broke off a lock I had lost a key to and re-keyed my shed door. Super happy and affordable. Not sure why others complain about the price. It's actually the same as a home insurance coverage!!! Will only use and recommend them in the future. Thanks guys!

ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have a Chevy Cobalt and only ONE key... yup only one... Well that key was lost last night. Hubby goes to leave for work & couldn't. Yup we looked all over must have broken off ring. Well, in panic we start calling around. My call was answered quickly. I didn't need to have a call back with a price. The gentleman was a human not a recording... AMAZING!!! I MEAN AMAZING!!! Customer service from start to finish. Was there ON TIME. The PRICE was GREAT!!! I will let anyone I know that needs ANY services they offer to go STRAIGHT TO THEM... My Husband is a mechanic/assistant manager so he will spread the word as well. First time in, I got a car key copied by a helpful, but less experienced guy, I payed, went home to try it and it wouldn't turn in the ignition. I went back a few days later to see if they could see a problem. The first guy was there, but a different, more experienced guy saw the problem, took the key, said nothing to me except ask what kind of car it's for, used a more sophisticated machine to cut it, and then said I owed him $10 more. I told him I wished he would have said he was going to charge me more prior to fixing the mistake, instead of surprising me with additional charges. He was very uninterested in receiving feedback, gave me back my key and told me not to come back. So instead of gaining a new customer, they kicked one out, got a sh**ty Google review, and now have someone telling their friends and coworkers to stay away from this place. The key works now, though, so they're probably competent locksmiths, just incompetent with customer service.

No clue on their physical service. But I called for an appointment and they couldnt get in until the next day so I tried to say let me call my girlfriend and call you back to see if she wants to wait and before I finished my sentence the guys says k bye and hung up on me. Rude employees can turn any business into a terrible one. Im about to pay $100 extra for them to drive 3.9 miles to my car they can have some courtesy to let me talk. Customer service is a -5

Puget Sound Locksmith saved me a ton of money when I had to replace my Toyota Smart key. The entire job- a Toyota brand smart key fob along with programming cost what the dealership wanted to charge me just to program a new smart key fob. It saved me hundred of dollars! Mark had the new key fob overnighted and arrived at my place to program the new fob while I was at work. It was so easy and convenient! This was after a terrible experience with Burien Lock & Key AND after purchasing an after-market brand key online that Mark ensured was not going to work (glad I could return that!)

Bought a new home and called Puget Sound Locksmiths to have my locks re-keyed. I spoke with Frank on a Saturday night, and he was able to come out the very next morning. He was friendly, professional, and fast. He re-keyed seven locks, and even provided me spare keys at no extra charge. I highly recommend them. 5 stars.

They copied my couple of keys and an odd mail key handily and quickly, and with a friendly manner for a few bucks each. The parking out front though it is a little challenging, being a small gravel lot. It was hard to park without blocking someone, and then had to do the backing out onto the main street exercise. They might do better to delineate that a little or make it a drive through forwards lot somehow. Good job I would go back in the future and support local businesses. Thanks.

Puget Sound Locksmith's commitment to customer service is impressive. They willingly honored an Angie's List coupon I purchased over a year ago. Though I live outside of their coverage area, they sent a technician to my house in the evening to try and re-key a couple of old locks I have on my door. The technician took the time to advise me on decent lock brands and showed me how the existing locks had been improperly installed. He was efficient, courteous, left things the way he had found them, and didn't complain about the traffic he had to fight to get to me. Overall the company was fair, professional and trustworthy; I would highly recommend their staff!

I have a habit of locking my keys in my van. Puget Sound Locksmiths have helped me on a few occasions. Both Mark and Frank are prompt and courteous and know what they are doing! I recommend them to everyone. I have even gotten a spare set of keys made by Mark's son Mark in the shop. Great service, great location. Will use them again.

They came out within a couple of hours and changed all the locks per our phone quote. Very knowledgeable service individual and excellent service. I didn't even get past the phone call. I tried to ask if they could reprogram a key after I had some work done on my car, and the guy on the phone was a dick. He asked questions I didn't know the answers to, and then became rude when I wasn't sure about the answers. I think he thought I was trying to steal a car, so he said he was going to turn down the work. I tried to understand why I was being refused service, and he implied I was trying to con him.

I am out of state and wanted a job done, with completion pictures to show the client and they absolutely refused saying they 'weren't in school' and if I wanted pictures taken I should call someone else. I was surprised they were refusing the job on something so small!

Two days in a row showed up to the shop and they where closed. First day I called and asked their hours and the guy on the phone told me 5 pm so I drove over after a couple of hours. Called the number and the guy tells me he is on a call and wont be there till the morning. Went in the next day and they where closed. Website says open when they are not there.
