In January, 2020, I contacted this company to get a lock put into a desk, and to get a broken key out of a lock in the shed and replaced. I spoke to Tim mid-afternoon, and he said he would be over in about an hour. That turned into about a 4-5 hour wait. After ordering parts, a couple of weeks later, he did put a lock into my desk, doing an adequate job. However, despite numerous promises to drop off or mail me the replacement shed key, I still do not have it. I eventually decided that he wasn't going to come through, and since the key was only $10, I just planned to go somewhere else. Then the COVID-19 quarantine happened. Several months later, I went to Lowe's and Home Depot to get the shed key made. It is an unusual key, and their machines can't make it. I decided to try to get Tim again to bring me my key. Eventually he contacted me, claiming that he had previously dropped off the key, which he had not. He agreed to 'make another one' and bring it out. I called him on 6/1---I'll be out tomorrow. On 6/2, he called to say he couldn't make it and would be out the next day. He did not show or call on 6/3. I called him on 6/4 and he said he had just been in an accident, and would be out tomorrow. I called him on 6/5, and he promised to be out that afternoon. I haven't heard from him since. Some of the reviews indicate that some folks have had a good experience with Tim, but I certainly have been greatly disappointed, and would never, ever recommend or use him again. He comes across as a gregarious and likeable individual, but he is unreliable, wastes time talking, and makes promises he does not keep.

They went out of their way to make sure that my needs were well taking care of. They both work with a smile on their faces and it shows that they really love what theyre doing. We reached out to Tim for a car key. After almost a week of sketchiness about what he needs to do and when, he comes out. after already paying nearly $200 (was told wed have a key that day) hes now asking for another 300$ to fix cosmetic issues on the vehicle in order to make this key. I verified with other locksmiths that this wasnt necessary. When stated that we would like to take our business elsewhere and that we would like the key fob (which allows entrance into the vehicle) he then hung up the phone and stated Im done with this conversation and denied any other calls. After contacting the police department and texting Tim letting him know we did so, he started blowing up our phone. We asked all further communication be done through text message as that wasnt an issue before and he has proceeded to state that he isnt allowed official business through text message. Do not reach out to Tim for locksmith services. Take your business elsewhere. If you talk on the phone with Tim, record all conversations. Screenshot all texts. He tries to tell the police he never said the things he does. Always take pictures and recordings for proof!!Update: Tim decided to show up to our apartment unannounced at midnight to give us a key. Our local police department was notified and came out as well. Tim was still unable to provide a key for the vehicle and we are out $200. We now have to contact the small claims court to get our money back as advised by the police department.

We called them for quote but ended up using someone else. They called back to see if we needed them. We told them thanks for checking back, but it was fixed already. Another locksmith was in the area and got here quickly. Their reply was that they hoped we enjoyed paying more. They were very snarky. We told them that it was rude to speak to potential customers that way and then they tried to backpedal. We are really glad we used someone else.

After calling around I found better deal. When he called me he told me he was willing to work on a deal, which he did. When all was done he made a key. He stated he had to jump start my car cause my battery was no good, to show the key was working.. He would jump start car the key would work and wouldn't for him. He also stated if he had to jump start my car he would charge me extra $15. My battery is a good battery it was not working due to him working and door open ECT. My battery has been working just fine now. He left me with a key that works and doesn't and doesn't only works when decides to as he seen it was having difficulty. He also stated if I wanted a better key made I needed to pay again, he would not fix it unless.You just made a key and it doesn't work now u want me to pay again for something non working. No Thanks!! Do yourself a favor pay the extra find a better deal with a company that's willing to go out for you as a customer and not leave you hanging. The key was not working, I had to call another locksmith company who came out and fixed the problem there key is working great and they said if any problems they would fix it. Costumers should always come first.

Absolutely the worst experience Ive had with any business.. I lost my only key to my car so we called to have them come do an unlock and make a new key. Well Tim shows up 30 minutes late which was annoying but not a huge deal. He got there about 9 and stood around talking for about 30 minutes before he got started. He then came over to us a couple times saying that the car had a bad lock design and he couldnt figure out how to make the key. He tries 3 more keys with no success still blaming it on the lock design. He had run out of keys so he told us he was going to go get more keys. It was about 12 at this point so my boyfriend and I told him we were going to head home and he told us we could just with card over the phone when he finished. He told us to call when we got home because he told us he would probably be finished by then. When we called him he told us he hadnt gone back and was out having a drink with his wife. Which was fine we said wed call him back in the morning. When we did he said he was on another call and wouldnt be there until later. My dad was not happy that he wasnt getting the job done so he called suggesting that I just pay for the unlock and we have someone else come make the key. He got a terrible attitude. He said he would be in Salem in a short time with the key. So we said we would meet him there. We couldnt be there right away as we live 45 minutes away. He called my dad back 10 minutes later saying that he wasnt happy with the way my dad was talking so he was no longer willing to except my debit card and if we werent there right then, he would leave with the key and make us wait until tomorrow. Luckily my boyfriend could get to him fast enough to pay him but this man was completely unprofessional. My family and I will never be using him again and I do not recommend him to anyone else either.

Tim & Tom are awesome. These two professionals came over in the middle of the night, quicker than any other locksmith that I've ever encountered. After losing my motorcycle key, I was scared I wasn't going to be able to ride the next day..but, once these guys showed up, they quickly & professionally made me multiple copies of a key that I didn't even have! They are both experienced & are very good at what they do! Their friendliness alone made the experience of losing my key a great one. I'm glad I called these guys & not somebody else! Give them a call, you wont be disappointed!

Called friday to get an extra key made for my honda crv. They said they had the key in stock and just so happened to be in eugene. So I met up with them at the gateway parking lot to get it done. Over the phone they told me it would be 125.00 and that they would beat anyone else's price by 10 percent. Then when they arrived it turned into 150.00 after asking what my local locksmith was going to charge as I am not from the area. After I told tim 160 he said he would charge me 150.00. I wasnt happy with the all of a sudden 25 dollar price increase but I agreed to pay just to get it over with. Then it turns out they could not program the key they had. Apparently it was the wrong key. Then said they could meet me in portland to get a new key made. So I met tim in portland and still no key. Called them at noon friday. Sitting in portland after dark and still no key. I asked for a refund and he told me no that he has to much time invested into things and that I had to allow him the time to get the right key and get it programmed. Supposedly he could get the key saturday if I could meet up with him in salem. He calls saturday several times telling me he could get the key but had to run to mt angel and would be back later and that he would call and get me the key I paid for. He calls telling me again another story how his guy had left and that he could not get the key till Monday. So apparently after all this still no key and no desire to just refund my money. Instead he is trying to sell me another key. So two keys instead of the one I prepaid for. I told him several times I am not from here and that I had work in ca waiting for me and now I'm supposed to wait till monday maybe tues to get my key and programming done. When I asked for a discount for the all the trouble he told me he could give me a another key that is less then the one I paid for. A 4 button key with programming some how equates to a 3 button key now all of a sudden and I am being asked to sign a change order because he can not get the key that he told me he had. So now I am out 150.00. I do not recommend this place. Too much nonsense. I actually encourage you that have had problems with this place to file a complain with the Better Business bureau, file a complaint in civil court at the local courthouse, make a report to the police, n report transaction to your financial institution.

I called on their help on 1/1/20 and was happy that someone was open. My steering and ignition had frozen up. I was told over the phone that there was a $45 fee just to show up. I had no problems with that but when the tech got there I was told the guy on the phone forgot the additional fee for it being a holiday, more than doubled what was due just for showing up. When I agreed, the tech just sat in driver's seat and gave the steering wheel shard twist and suddenly the ignition was fixed. That alone cost me over $100. I feel like they saw me as a rube and took me for a ride.

Called at night due to residential lockout. Was assured someone would arrive in 20 minutes. 40 minutes later call back and am told none was dispatched due to scheduling issues and that he would respond personally, but was 30 minutes away. If looking for a professional locksmith look elsewhere.

Told me he would be at our house in 30-40 minutes and showed up almost 2 hrs later and didnt even mention it. Worked on our mailbox for over an hour (more than 30 minutes was just talking to my very polite neighbor who was just trying to retrieve his own mail) before deciding hed need to remove the door and take it with him. He said hed have it back the next morning. Fast forward 2 days. No calls or texts and our mailbox is just open to the world and no one is responding to us, then all of a sudden that night the door is back on but we still have no key. He said hed deliver the key the next day but it was still either the following day or 2 days later. I wasnt going to write a review because its been a few months, but he bent something when he put the door back on so it is EXTREMELY hard to open and close the door and so now I think him EVERY day when checking my mail. DO NOT HIRE HIM. Oh he also ended up charging us 3x what he quoted me on the phone but we were so furious with how unprofessional he was that we just wanted him off of our property and out of our lives so we paid it and said good riddance.*update* Now both of our keys have literally broken in half from just trying to open the door of the mailbox since he bent something inside.

I have been debating whether to write this review or not considering I have read through other reviews and found there to be an overwhelming amount of 5 star, positive reviews for Tim. While I agree that Tim is very friendly, personable, and a fine locksmith, I am very disappointed in the customer service I received when I locked myself out of my car a few days ago at 11 PM, by myself the other day. I am so appreciative of the fact that this service is available 24 hours, however, with that comes a level of professionalism that should be maintained considering the vulnerability young women, such as myself, face after dark when they are by themselves. Tim made several off-putting remarks that, while I believe he was doing in the name of flattery, I found offensive. When he asked if I could shine a flashlight into his van so he could see something, he mentioned, 'Don't worry, I'm not going to abduct you!'. I laughed and replied, 'I trust you', to which he said, 'well don't trust me too much, with someone as gorgeous as yourself it might be tempting to do something!'. This is not appropriate. He proceeded to say comments such as 'our star signs are compatible, so we get along well together', 'I'm going to stop flirting too much, unless you're into older men', 'you're good at shining that flashlight, you could be my assistant', and 'your boyfriend must know he has something special, I knew when I heard your voice on the phone'. These are presumably nice things to say, but given that Tim is significantly older than me, is in a position of power where I needed him there to provide a service I could not provide for myself, and is the only locksmith available after hours, I would expect him to be sensitive to the context of the situation. It is not hard to avoid making comments like that. There are a million other ways to be friendly and personable without making such comments. It would not happen to a male or to someone much older than I am, though it would be inappropriate at any age or to any gender. I am writing this review not to slander this business, but instead in hopes that it will bring awareness to why this is wrong. I am paying for a service and therefore should not be uncomfortable throughout the entire experience.

I called them during 'after hours' (6 am) and when they showed up, the guy said he was going to charge me $125 because of the after hours. His phone wasn't working correctly, so I didn't receive anything at that time. At 9:30 pm I finally got the charge of $220! I do not trust this company! Why am I being charged $95 more than expected?
